Hi everyone,
Thank you for all your beauty questions you left on Facebook for me last week. Here are my answers to the questions you asked about make up…
On eye make up
Q. Hi Alison & Will. Please can you advise on eye make up. I am having problems with eye liners transferring on to my top lid. I have used b brown gel liners and liz earles new pencils. I use laura gellers eye primer. Is there something I am d oing wrong. I am going to Florence in 3 weeks to a wedding and would like to know which make up would be best in the heat and will look good and stay put. Thank you. Love watching your shows, have learnt so much.
A. The Bobbi Brown one should work and it shouldn't transfer. So either avoid eye cream on the eyeliner area or leave it for ten minutes to sink in. Buff with a finishing powder, such as from Mally or Liz Earle loose powders.
Then use the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and because it's going on dry skin, it should set quicker. Don't open your eyes full (keep looking down) until it's all dry. This should work but if it doesn't, use the new Eyeko liquid liner pen which is more of a felt tip which has a thinner texture and is more quick drying Ali x
On make up in summer
Q. Hi Alison/Will i am having big problems keeping my makeup on during this hot weather. I am cleasing, moistursing, prima and then LG B&B but it is all streaking and ending in me wiping it off my face during the day. HELP
A. Let's switch to a more mattifying primer, such as Smashbox Light Primer as this is specifically for make-up that slides off which can be caused by either humidity or greasy skin – and it's what's used by the celebs! Ali x
On eye primer
Q. I've tried every eye prima Qvc sell but all end up with a creased in my eye they are oily and I'm 56 what does she suggest would appreciate an answer if pos.
A. Have you tried the waterproof eye Spackle from Laura Geller? Also top tips would be use eye serums for tightening the lid and don't put your primer on for 10 mins until your product has sunk in.
If there is any moisture from the product left buff some powder onto the lid first before applying the primer. When you put the primer on smooth it and press it in with your finger so you get full adherence.

Hi Alison,
I order Mally 3 piece Age Rebel Collection. Could you advice me how to apply them please. i.e. put face Priemer first before face serum? eye cream before poreless cream? after face primer do I need to put face mosisturizer? Is foundation the last apply?
Many thanks.
