Woooooo Hoooooo!

Love the new ride at Thorpe Park! It's called SWARM and it's their latest attraction.

Thorpe Park isn't too far away from us so we tend to go there fairly often. I'll never forget our day trip last year when my daughter had the day off school.

The Swarm at Thorpe ParkIt wasn't too busy at Thorpe Park which meant we were able to go on my daughter's favourite ride, SAW, 18 times! Is that a record?! I highly recommend the new ride, it's fabulous.

We often break between rides and have some of their delicious hot ring donuts! Just thinking about them makes me want to jump in the car, head there, and grab a couple (you know how much I love my food!)

I've a couple of days off now and am banking on some good weather. We're planning to head out on the bikes with a picnic… spring is well and truly here!

I'm back this coming Monday 26th March at 2pm with OPI (if you love the TV sitcom, 'Friends', you may have noticed an OPI stand in one of the shots, I think it was the episode when Joey went to a beauty salon). I'm then on at 3pm with Richard Jackson then an hour of Gold at 6pm!

Take care, have a great few days and I'll see you soon.

Charlie x

Ps. This weeks fascinating fact – An elephant can eat up to 150 kilos of food a day and wash it down with around 180 litres of water

Gosh how brave are you and your family Charlie? My hubby also loves the rides especially the roller coasters but i’m the one standing with my feet firmly on the ground holding the coats……well someone has to do it! Talking of doughnuts that reminded me of when my son was little (about 20 years ago now) and i used to make him follow me round Leicester market on a Saturday morning whilst i chose the fruit and vegetables i wanted to buy. If he had a been a good lad (not complaining too much) then as a treat i would buy some hot, sugar coated, ring, doughnuts wrapped up in a white paper bag with napkins. After boarding the bus to go home we would sit on the back seat and he would eat his way through them which took up most of the journey. I think he used to let me have one if i was lucky, i’m salivating just thinking about them, they were gorgeous. Have you ever tried eating a sugar coated doughnut without licking your lips? Bet you can’t do it! Love the fascinating facts that you post Charlie, enjoy your few days off love Sharon. X

Hi Charlie, you are a brave thing going on all the rides! I think I would give them a miss and just eat the donuts instead! I’m a bit of a jelly baby re those rides! (Back to food again)! I could just eat a donut now, I like the ring ones with jam inside – delicious! Re the elephant, when I read that I thought “just like Charlie and I”! We do like our food! I’ve just been to Lake Windermere for two nights while this unusual heat wave is on and it was gorgeous sitting looking across the lake from my Boat House Suite! As usual I’d fish and chips and ice creams – got to keep the calories UP! The sunsets were lovely and the moon and stars too. Pleased you had a great holiday, cheers, Christine xx

Hi Sharon, glad you like the facts….. Thank you! I love do-nuts! Wasn’t that a challenge on cracker jack, the tv show, to not lick lips while eating a do-nut…..!?
    Take care

Hello Christine, sounds like you’ve had a lovely time….. Ooooooh, fish and chips, I really fancy some now! I do like my food. Oh, and I love fish and chip shop fish cakes, they are delicious! When I was a child our dog, Molly, stole some fish and chips (well just the fish!) from a stranger, thankfully they saw the funny side of it!
    Take care
