Wonderful Lisbon, cool home ideas and yummy pies!

Hello and thanks for reading my blog!

So quite a bit to report on this week, here goes…

I was away in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, this weekend and what a wonderful time in one of the most incredible cities I have ever visited. It was my first time there and over the three days we explored lots of the history and culture of the city as well as beautiful food, good weather, really friendly people and of course the famous Pastel de Nata custard tarts – rather lethal if you like me you have a sweet tooth! You can see in the pictures some of the moments from my trip; I was amazed at the incredible street art and visual character of the city as well as the architecture and mixture of building styles. A city I would definitely like to go back to and explore again in the near future.

Back to work at QVC now and some good home ideas coming up this week, all of which I will be showing you and am really excited about…

Firstly there is the 10″ Amazon Fire Today’s Special Value coming up with myself and Lee Hobein that we are launching this Friday 3rd May into Saturday 4th. The Fire tablet is fast, responsive and a real joy to use. Both my mum and my sister have this tablet and say it was a doddle to get started with too. It was actually my mum’s first ever tablet and it’s amazing to see how much she has grown with it and how much more she use it now than she ever thought she would, particularly for shopping and researching various things for herself and my dad. Also included in the offer is a voucher to get a bespoke case created for you – not only to protect the tablet but also to add a cool design element as well. Join myself and Lee Hobein for the launch or be sure to watch the Breakfast Show repeats as it’s going to be a busy day!

Staying with the home we also have another Amanda Holden BundleBerry Today’s Special Value next Tuesday 7th May; I reckon it’s going to be really popular as it’s a set of two of her best-selling faux succulents in pots, a brand-new design in a choice of four finishes. I wasn’t able to see the duo in person before I left for Portugal but the QVC buyers very kindly sent me a picture of it taken in their offices and you can see the choice and the striking design. As always it’s going to be great fun having Amanda with us for the day as she shares her love of design and we bring you lots of inspiration to refresh your home ready for summer.

Finally it’s time to talk about yummy pasties! Tonight at midnight we have a Real Pie Company Today’s Special Value I am launching. It’s their best-selling pasties which to my mind are the most delicious pasties I’ve ever tasted – crispy pastry, beautiful fillings and just the right amount of seasoning. I tend to have them warm with salad, steamed vegetables or just baked beans but going into the warmer weather they’re also going to be great for lunchboxes, picnics and to enjoy with a glass of wine, cold beer or fresh juice.

Included in the collection is 10 pasties all baked fresh to order and you can choose from either 10 Traditional or 5 Traditional and 5 new Ham Hock & Pea varieties. My mouth is already watering but I must remind myself to pace myself during the show or at least take smaller bites which is hard as The Real Pie Company pasties and pies are so delicious!

So, that’s it from me this week I do hope you will join me for these shows and as always feel free to keep in touch with me on Twitter @Craigrowe_TV and on Instagram @craigrowetv

Big hugs as always,
Craig xx

I am so pleased you liked Lisbon, its a fabulous city, although my thighs killed at the end of my trip! The hills did help with the Pastel de Nata custard tarts….as in I could justify eating more of them! They are my kryptonite!!

Looking forward to the next blog
