How we style our knitwear at QVC

Wrapping up in luscious layers is the best thing about autumn/winter dressing, and we love it here at QVC HQ. Plus, our 2015 knitwear collection has so many gorgeous styles to choose from!

We caught up with QVC fashion buyer, Rachael Biggs, to get her expert style tips, and discovered out how she and the rest of the fashion buyers are wearing their favourite knitwear pieces this season.

“I get excited every season by what the key fashion trends are going to be but autumn/winter is by far my favourite – it’s all about layering up and getting cosy. No winter wardrobe is complete without some knitwear but this season it is a huge fashion trend. From colour blocking and fringing to knitted sets with a modern twist, QVC has everything you need to update your winter wardrobe with the must-have pieces.

“In this  photo I’m wearing an Isaac Mizrahi Live Fair Isle cardigan, the perfect item for this time of year. It’s my real in-between seasons must-have piece. It’s super-soft and so comfortable to wear. It makes me want to sit and get cosy next to an open fire on a cold winters night.”

Dominique: “Shearling is one of my favourite trends for the season and this great faux shearling waistcoat means the trend doesn’t have to be limited to outerwear. The knitted back panel makes it so soft and comfortable to wear and it’s an ideal layering piece that looks great over dresses, but equally as good as a more casual outfit with jeans and boots.”

Vanessa: “This is one of my go-to jumpers for the season. I love the khaki colour and the mixed stitching on it adds interest to a simple jumper bringing it up to date with this year’s trends. I knew as soon as I saw it that it would be a wardrobe staple this autumn/winter.”

Chelsea: “This cardigan goes with practically everything in my wardrobe! It’s a great piece to throw on with a simple work outfit to really add some style. The drape on this cardigan and the length make it so flattering and easy to wear.”

Katie: “This beautiful blanket wrap in autumnal colours covers two of the season’s biggest trends all in one. I keep this on the back of my chair at work as it is great to throw on when I am feeling the cold, plus it looks great with jeans and layered over a polo neck.”

Sharon: “Knitwear is always key for the season but all over knitted sets is the newest take on this trend for this year. I love this matching sleeveless tunic top and cable knit cardigan from MarlaWynne. These two pieces look great word separately but I really love the impact they have worn as a set. The turtle neck vest and the duster style cable knit cardigan are also big trends for the season so this outfit brings me right up to date in an instant.”

Laura: “The sleeveless duster was one of my favourite trends for spring/summer 2015 so I am really glad it has continued through to autumn/winter. I love how easily this piece can transform a simple outfit into something really stylish and different.”
