Oh I get asked this question ALL the time like there’s some teeny (or huge) secret that we aren’t sharing with you at home, in fact I was asked it about make up shows just this weekend too – how do you at home know if we are telling the truth, if we REALLY use something or if we ACTUALLY love it – good question!
The fact of the matter is, and I would love to be able to give you a shorter answer – but the BEST skincare range is the one that works for your skin! This is why I think buying your beauty products from QVC is such a great way to do it as we have a 30 day money back guarantee that allows you to properly road test products to see if they do the job for you.
When it comes to hair and make-up, it’s the same thing. Of course with all beauty products, we are very fortunate as presenters to get to try most things out and so we have often used the entire range but of course we all have our favourites that we use religiously or at least go back to on a regular basis. For example, one of my favourites that I SWEAR by is Percy & Reed’s Wonderbalm.
So if you’re yet to discover what the BEST skincare is for you, it’s a great idea to look out for kits so you can get the full experience. We have a fabulous Big Deal from Elemis on this week with a brand new Superfood Blackcurrant Jelly Exfoliator (a not sticky but brilliant scrub!) that I’ve been loving trying it out so you could try that if your skin needs a post Christmas/New Year boost.
….or perhaps you could try Abi Cleeve’s range, Skinsense and see how your skin responds to that?
Of course we have global favourites such as Liz Earle which I know many of you already love and swear by, perhaps the Fresh Start Skincare Collection might be a good one to try if you haven’t given it a go yet?
Or you could go New York A-list celeb style and take advantage of an amazing collection from Perricone and see how your skin responds to that, we have an amazing Today’s Special Value from Perricone coming up on Wednesday 23rd January.
Do remember, if you are trying something completely new, that it is always advisable to do a patch test 24 hours ahead of time and if you can be patient enough, introduce one product at a time, rather than shocking your skin with a massive U-turn from your regular routine. Of course if you don’t have a regular routine, then perhaps it might be a great idea to start one even if it’s just to start and end the day in a fashion that helps clear your mind and give you a sense of positivity and wellbeing!
If you’re still looking for that perfect skincare routine, tune in to QVC all weekend for our Discover Beauty event, or take a look at the skincare offers that are currently online. Everything in the selection has only £1.95 P&P to pay!
I PROMISE the wardrobe detox will be my next blog, I managed to clear out MASSES from mine as you can see here en route to our local charity shop. For me, supporting the work that goes into mental healthcare and awareness is really important and often helps the motivation for parting with things I’m not sure I’m ready to say goodbye to. It might be an animal or medical charity for you, but it’s a great way to feel good about what you’re clearing out.
For starters, to get you going, get rid of (donate) pieces that annoy you when you wear them, don’t flatter you, are poor quality/made badly so you don’t feel great in them. Or pieces that have a stain on them, which means you can’t wear them but you keep them anyway (guilty garment hoarding!) and I’ll take you on to the next step in February!
That’s it for now, remember catch up with me on social media Facebook: /mePipaGordon, Instagram: @pipagordon, and Twitter: @Pipalive and also to tune into my new podcast, “Inside My Wardrobe” – literally and figuratively!
Much love as always
