Those of you who watch 'Britain's Got Talent' may recognise the title of the catchy little ditty that we were all humming after the show for a few weeks and then completely forgot about. I was reminded of it earlier this week after I had been away in Spain for a few days and simply couldn't remember where I had hidden my keys.
For some reason I always hide them in different places, which is crazy when you think about it because if anyone broke into the house and found them they would have no clue as to whether that was the first time they had been in that location! I looked where I thought I had left them, then I searched through a few drawers, inside shoes and boots, handbags but no sign of them!
I didn't need the car on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday but by Thursday I was starting to panic a bit as I needed to drive in to work. I had a complete mental block – I simply had no idea where I had hidden them. Then I walked into our bedroom and sitting demurely on the chair in the corner was my old teddy that I have had since I was a year old.
I'm not a hundred percent sure that he wasn't smiling when I reached behind him to retrieve my bunch of keys!! I wonder if you still have your old teddy from childhood? The stories they could tell if they could speak…probably just as well that they can't!
Wilfie still likes to play with QVC bear who I must confess is starting to look a little worse for wear. I should imagine that on Monday night he was cuddling him rather than biting and kicking him, as he had been for his castration that morning. I felt really mean leaving him at the vet but I was just trying to be a responsible owner as there are enough unwanted kittens in this world.
I expected him to come home all drowsy and loving but instead he was like a whirling dervish, running and jumping to the point that I was worried he might upset the wound. Tuesday morning he was back to normal, which for him is jumping up the moment I come down in the morning and sucking my dressing gown for a good fifteen minutes. I need to stop him really as he's not a baby anymore but I just haven't got the heart because he seems to derive such comfort from it.
On Tuesday evening Chris and I met up with Renee (Attitudes by Renee) for dinner. She had texted me the week before suggesting it but hadn't signed her name and I had mistakenly thought it was Marjolein (AeroPilates) as the text had mentioned doing the last show of her visit together.
I texted back 'Hi Marjolein we'd love too'!!! Fortunately Renee saw the funny side but unfortunately we didn't have a show together this visit – hopefully next time.
I did of course have a show with Marjolein. Now is the perfect time to get an Aeropilates machine if you want to shape up a bit after the excesses of Christmas and in time for the summer. If you missed the shows check out the different machines available on our website. I'm so pleased I've made room in the spare bedroom for mine, I've really missed being able to use it.
I have a busy few days ahead. I'm looking forward to seeing Glen Campbell today for my Fashion on Friday show although I doubt that the TSV will still be around as it got off to a flying start. While I'm on air at QVC our lovely Gatineau guest, Andrew Bagley, will be putting his body on the line for a charity rugby match. I had no idea Andrew played but I was happy to sponsor him and if you would like to you can read about the cause here http://www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Bagley1
Andrew had emailed me because he knows I am a sports fan, although rugby is the wrong-shaped ball for me. I'm on earlier than usual tomorrow with Hi-Tech at 11am and Yankee Candles at 1pm as I have a rather important date at Selhurst Park at 5.30pm…Crystal Palace are taking on Man Utd.
The Premiership has been really interesting this year with no runaway leader and at least 10 teams battling against relegation…it is shaping up for a very exciting and nerve-racking final day of the season in May.
Looking ahead to next week, I'm launching the Dyson Animal Cordless Vac Tuesday midnight, I have two hours of Butler & Wilson on Wednesday from 9pm, and lots more besides. All that plus trying to get the new house organised, writing my book and planning a surprise birthday party, which I'll tell you more about in a couple of weeks – don't want to spoil the surprise!
Must sign off now as Wilfie has decided he wants to 'help' with my blog and I'm in danger of losing what I have just written.
Enjoy your weekend! Much love,
