First up I have to say congrats to Karen Bell, the winner of the Kipling Aliza TSV bag that I had as a competition in my previous blog (only my second competition ever on here!). It’s such a great bag and will either be a great self-gift or a fab Christmas present for someone. Thank you all for taking part.
Since then, however, I have had some very special visitors to QVC, not least of which has been the indefatigable Prue Leith, who came on-air to show us her collaboration with Lola Rose, Prue x Lola Rose. She was charm itself. Interesting, chatty, full of stories and anecdotes and an absolute delight.
She was, by her own admission, nervous about coming on-air but she was incredibly interesting to listen to. In fact, I only wish we had more time to hear from her but as everything kept selling out we had to cut our time together on-air short and finish the show twenty minutes early. I would have tried to extract more golden conversational nuggets from her but my producers kept asking me to give updates on sales (as things were selling out or going limited stock even before we got to them) so regrettably I had to do a lot of updates and chat to the detriment of my time finding out more about Prue.
I did so enjoy being with her. I wonder if you all enjoyed seeing her as much as I did? She will be back with Nikki from Lola Rose in March of 2020, I believe, so hopefully the opportunity will return.
I also played host to the wonderful Kate Thornton for her collaboration with Bibi Bijoux – Kate Thornton x Bibi Bijoux. Another wonderful woman and a great human being. She was so lovely and her range is quite fabulous too so do check it out as it’s been so popular they have had to design new pieces, new colours etc and rush them back in before Christmas!
There is no denying, though, that the festive season is upon us, with just a couple of weeks until the big day. I am guessing, like me, you are in full reconnaissance mode. I have one beady eye alert at all times, and one ear cocked in case I see or hear of something that would make a great gift and can tick another person off my list. With eight at mine for a week over Christmas, I have a lot to sort out besides, like food ordering and making up beds and replacing broken light bulbs (I’ve had about four or five of them all go in the last couple of weeks, what’s that all about?).
Anyway, if you are still looking for great ideas at great prices, you can shop our Festive Finds that we have every day, which give you things like discounts or interest-free instalments etc, to help with making those purchases. Our last day for shipping in time for Christmas is Friday 20th December, so there is still time to pick up something special.
If it’s a bargain you are looking for, we still have lots of Todays Special Values between now and then to get you sorted, and here’s just an idea of a few, with their air dates to give you some ideas:

Babyliss Easy Air Curler (Thursday 19th December 2019)
This is a brand new product from Babyliss, the first we have seen from them for some time. The Air Curler allows you to create effortless lasting curls – this unique styler has a split barrel design and uses a perfect mix of both air and heat to effortlessly create lasting curls with a smooth, shiny finish. The heated ceramic plates smooth the hair whilst the large outer barrel gently releases cool air, instantly setting the curl for longer lasting results. QVC will be the first to have this exclusively and it will not be available to buy anywhere other than directly from Babyliss.
It’s the perfect gift for all those who love treating their tresses and creating effortless effects when styling their hair.
