What would you wish for?

A Wishing WellI haven't really written much about the house I'm currently living in but that's probably because it's only temporary. We took it on a six month contract as I'm still undecided on where I want to settle down closer to QVC's new home in Chiswick. We are now halfway through our tenancy and we are still no closer to deciding on where to start looking!

The house was built in the 1930s and is located on a green, a little oasis of calm, so much so that it is difficult to remember that there is a busy main road just 2 minutes drive away. I liked the house immediately, but the deciding factor was the quaint old wishing well in the garden.

It is a proper well but the owners of the house have had a custom-made cover inserted into it as the previous tenants had young children. I'm quite glad actually as Poppy has ventured out into the garden on several occasions over the last couple of months and the last thing I want to do is get the fire brigade out to fish her out of the well!

In some respects it's a bit of a shame that it's blocked up though as it would have been fun to throw a few coins down there and make a wish. I wonder what you would wish for??

I'm looking forward to my weekend off, although the weather doesn't sound too promising, and then a busy week ahead with the start of the Paralympics on Wednesday and Chris' birthday on Thursday. Incidentally, after much perseverence, I managed to get tickets for the Closing Ceremony of the Paralympics. I was really delighted and that was before I found out that Coldplay are in the line-up… result!!!!!

Have a lovely weekend and Bank Holiday and see you on Thursday afternoon,

Much love, Julia xx

Oh that’s easy Julia …. and no it isn’t ‘an evening with Daleicious’, although that would be on my wish list!! I would wish for a job on QVC. Emma’s job to be precise ……. you know the one where she gets to loll about on the couch being pampered with Elemis! Only Elemis mind, I’ve seen her cavorting with the other brands!! Just kidding Julia, Emma’s lovely.
Failing that though, a lottery win would be nice. Don’t worry though, I wouldn’t be selfish ….. I’d be sure to share plenty of my winnings with QVC, LOL!! Enjoy the Paralympics.

    Hi Carole
Yes it’s a really good Elemis TSV with the new Pro Intense Lifting Serum and limited edition packaging on the Papaya Enzyme Peel. I’m hoping there will still be some available when I’m on with Keeley tomorrow at five.
You don’t have long to wait for the L’Occitane TSV either – next weekend!
I’m really looking forward to seeing the Olympic Park – Craig has gone today.

    Hi Marion
I should have known that having Emma’s job when she is modelling for Elemis would be top of your wish list! The new Pro Intense is in tonight’s TSV – hope you’ll be watching tomorrow at five?
I won’t tell Dale that you would prefer that to an evening out with him …… our little secret LOL!

    Hi Julia
Yes I was watching at 5 and heard you telling Emma that I wanted her job. Trouble is she just laughed didn’t she. Honestly, you’d think she’d be sick of lying on that couch being pampered by now wouldn’t you!! It was nice to see Emma’s mum on again at 2pm but I was soooooooooooo jealous!

Now that your contract has been signed sealed & delivered – Does that mean you have some clout? If so dear Julia, can you pull some strings to get QVC to showcase the male singing group “Celtic Thunder”? It’s not fair we don’t get the opportunity to see this “tasty” group – as they appear regularly on QVC – USA. That would be my wish. I believe you’ll love this one.. I sure did…. I was saving it for a rainy day… and the rain stopped. Yayyy!

    Hi Marion
Yes Emma did just laugh when I told her about you wanting her job!!! Maybe she has got her Mum trained up to take over in her absence when she has baby number two?? – I like having Emma’s Mum on as it shows that ‘real’ people of a certain age can benefit from our beauty products.
BTW I have started ‘testing’ the Pro Intense Lift Effect moisturiser and my skin likes it!!!!

    Hi Lyn
Sadly I don’t really have much ‘clout’ with the powers that be ( with or without a signed contract ) but I will forward your post to the relevant department so that they can check out “Celtic Thunder”
    much love
