Wet and windy – but still lovely!

Ryde sea frontHello, hope you've enjoyed the month of May so far! It's very 'British' to write and talk about the weather so I won't labour the point too much!

We did a day trip to the Isle of Wight on Saturday to see Mum and Dad. The weather was pretty miserable but the brisk walk along Ryde seafront was really uplifting. Despite the odd burst of drizzle and rain, the strong breeze and rolling waves were truly invigorating.

I was inspired (although not enough to get in the sea!) when I saw windsurfers and kite surfers riding the waves in the Solent. Fabulous!

It was great to see Dad; he's making great recovery from his back operation. He took great pride in revealing his scar. He hadn't seen it himself so we took a photo to show him (don't worry, it won't appear on the blog!) and he really is rather proud of it!

It was a flying visit, spent eating, chatting and laughing, but not too much laughing because it gave Dad a bit of pain, but, trying not to laugh made him laugh even more! We had a great day.

It was great to see Mum too. She spoilt my children with some new clothes, which my daughter, in particular, loved. In return we gave her some well-deserved beauty treats from QVC. Mum loves Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream… I think most of us do!

Amber Round Overlay Ring Sterling SilverReally looking forward to the next few days ahead on QVC. If you've caught me on-air over the years you will know how much I love Amber. I have two shows coming up. This Sunday 13th at 10pm and then on Monday 14th at 7pm followed by Diamonds at 10pm!

Take care, have a great few days and I'll see you soon.

Hi Charlie, glad to see you write so positivly about your Dad, I wish we could warm the weather up just a little it might relax his back more, poor soul its something that we are always moving,or trying to. My OH played a lot of sport as a young man and now he is paying the price, it wrecked his feet, his large toenail kept falling off, his footie boots were blamed, but now although not at all overweight he has type2 diabetes and we have to watch his feet very carefully as the troublesome nail is now causing concern.Oh to be young and stupid again, its a lot more fun than being old and stupid. I’m sure we will get it sorted out.
Wont be long now before you leave the hole in the floor behind and settle in your new premises, its going to be a lasting memory of MP House, I remember the night your chair leg went into the hole behind the desk,it caused quite a chuckle, I am also so pleased they have you and the carpet cleaner lady on U Tube, thats hilarious.Im sure it will be hard to leave the memories behind, they were good days. Mabye we have all become a little less free with buying because of the economic climate, or mabye we are not getting the joy of buying for the summer that seems reluctant to come, and stay,it must happen soon I’ve told myself June is going to be glorious, so heres hoping,
I heard something today that has stayed with me, Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is still a mystery, Today is a gift, thats why its called the present. So be careful not to wish your life away.
Best Wishes to You and your Family, Charlie,
    Stay safe, and Keep Well,
