Hi everyone, well I have been promising you some breaking news and here it is…
My eldest son Matthew is getting married on August 13th this year (so mother of the groom time : )!!) and Louise (my niece) is having another baby at the end of June!!
It’s all very exciting, and what with Danny turning 50 in July (I know… A toy boy!! So not!!), it is indeed going to be a busy summer! Both news items broke (obviously not Danny’s birthday! lol) just before we went to South Africa in December but for a variety of reasons, I was sworn to secrecy. Firstly Matthew, well his reason for the secrecy is that he hadn’t asked his intended as yet and so didn’t want to let the cat out if the bag. He had asked her parents (old romantic) and obviously we knew, but I have to say it was so difficult keeping it quiet.
I couldn’t even say anything to the rest of the family for fear of anything being leaked out! Not even my other two boys! It’s a different world we live in now what with social media etc. as he so wanted to make sure she was kept completely in the dark. He had chosen their first anniversary for the task and got down on one knee in the middle of Kew Gardens in London to pop the question!!
Happily she said yes and so we could all heave a sigh of relief and get on with the celebrations. (He did tell me though that it had the potential of going horribly wrong there were two rather boisterous little boys playing Star Wars with a couple of swords just a tad too close by to his chosen spot!! He had visions of the ring being swiped out of his hand at the crucial moment!!) Her name is Rebecca and I couldn’t wish for a lovelier daughter-in-law.
I’m so happy for both of them……..so yes indeed all systems go (and so pleased I’ve started the Body Rescue system to help get me in shape for my outfit!!) And now to my lovely niece Louise who, as so many of you know by now, I am so close to. Absolute joy at her news – however it was a really rocky emotional first few months. A total roller coaster ride as it was touch and go on more than one occasion. All is good now but she will be having a C-section due to all the previous trauma and to avoid any further complications.
We are all totally thrilled, and so I am going to be a great auntie once again and lovely little Sophie is going to have a baby brother or sister!! Joy of joys!! It’s been a while since I’ve posted any Sophie photos, but I’m going up to Nottingham in a couple of weeks, so watch this space!!
And that’s my news that I wanted to share with you all. I am as pleased as punch for all parties concerned and also the fact that when Danny hits 50 in July we have 9 days where there is only a 5 year difference between us (makes me feel sooo much better!!)
Hope you’re all well. I shall be giving a progress update in a few days re my new regime, so again… watch this space.
Big hugs to you and hope you’re all well.
