Wedding bells and the patter of tiny feet!!!

Hi everyone, well I have been promising you some breaking news and here it is…

My eldest son Matthew is getting married on August 13th this year (so mother of the groom time : )!!) and Louise (my niece) is having another baby at the end of June!!

It’s all very exciting, and what with Danny turning 50 in July (I know… A toy boy!! So not!!), it is indeed going to be a busy summer! Both news items broke (obviously not Danny’s birthday! lol) just before we went to South Africa in December but for a variety of reasons, I was sworn to secrecy. Firstly Matthew, well his reason for the secrecy is that he hadn’t asked his intended as yet and so didn’t want to let the cat out if the bag. He had asked her parents (old romantic) and obviously we knew, but I have to say it was so difficult keeping it quiet.

This way to wedding

I couldn’t even say anything to the rest of the family for fear of anything being leaked out! Not even my other two boys! It’s a different world we live in now what with social media etc. as he so wanted to make sure she was kept completely in the dark. He had chosen their first anniversary for the task and got down on one knee in the middle of Kew Gardens in London to pop the question!!

Happily she said yes and so we could all heave a sigh of relief and get on with the celebrations. (He did tell me though that it had the potential of going horribly wrong there were twoΒ  rather boisterous little boys playing Star Wars with a couple of swords just a tad too close by to his chosen spot!! He had visions of the ring being swiped out of his hand at the crucial moment!!) Her name is Rebecca and I couldn’t wish for a lovelier daughter-in-law.

I’m so happy for both of them…… yes indeed all systems go (and so pleased I’ve started the Body Rescue system to help get me in shape for my outfit!!) And now to my lovely niece Louise who, as so many of you know by now, I am so close to. Absolute joy at her news – however it was a really rocky emotional first few months. A total roller coaster ride as it was touch and go on more than one occasion. All is good now but she will be having a C-section due to all the previous trauma and to avoid any further complications.

Baby coming soonWe are all totally thrilled, and so I am going to be a great auntie once again and lovely little Sophie is going to have a baby brother or sister!! Joy of joys!! It’s been a while since I’ve posted any Sophie photos, but I’m going up to Nottingham in a couple of weeks, so watch this space!!

And that’s my news that I wanted to share with you all. I am as pleased as punch for all parties concerned and also the fact that when Danny hits 50 in July we have 9 days where there is only a 5 year difference between us (makes me feel sooo much better!!)

Hope you’re all well. I shall be giving a progress update in a few days re my new regime, so again… watch this space.

Big hugs to you and hope you’re all well.

Anne xxx

Hi Anne, great to read about your exciting times to come! My daughter was married on Friday up in Glasgow, weather cold and wet, but didn’t spoil the day.
As new grandparents, the day was even more special for us, as son and daughter-in-law travelled from Fife for the weekend with baby Ella.
Good luck and enjoy the happy events to come.

Hi Anne, Such fabulous happy news you have shared with us, how busy you are going to be eek!! All the trying on for The Mother of the Groom perfect outfit, I’m sure you will look fantastic. I have to say Anne I was watching you on air just the other day and thought how young you look now than when you first started ( not being rude) your hair really suits you longer, I think we are all looking at least 10 years younger, I’m 52 and look and feel better than I did when I had my children at 30 and 34, I look at the photos and just say to myself, ” what did I look like”
Hey ho it’s all about making the most of what we have and more importantly staying healthy now, which is where QVC comes in buying my Liz Earle, Bare Minerals and much more. I still have my very first QVC purchase in full working order, a blender I bought to blend my Sons food when he was a baby, he’s now 21 and I remember the presenter being Julia Roberts!
Looking forward to the new photos of little Sophie and your hubbys 50th.
    Love Nicky xx

Hi Margaret. And congratulations on both fronts to you too!! It’s like snap!! Weddings and babies. Absolutely lovely. Gosh no surprises then with the Glasgow weather then eh! Still, it would take a lot more than a rainy day to dampen the Glaswegian spirit!!
    Thanks for your well wishes.

Hi Nicky! Great to hear from you! And I agree with you on so many fronts!! I do think we are looking younger for longer (although I caught a glimpse of me the other day from last September and it was not good!!). I’m also with you on the fact that the beauty on QVC does help, whether it’s skincare, hair or make up. And I need all of it!!
What a testimony that you still have your very first purchase from all those years ago!! My very first purchase was a silver mother of pearl ring. I loved it but lost it on holiday πŸ™
Still, let me tell you, I have more than made up for it since πŸ˜‰
    Take care

    Congratulations on your good news!
It’s been lovely seeing you do more evening shows over the las few weeks, especially the launch of the last beauty event.
A friend and I both commented on how fabulous your hair is looking. So long, think and shiny, we were wondering what products you using as you are looking great!
