It’s just a quick one this week to give you an early look at Saturday’s Today’s Special Value offer from Fitbit. You might have noticed me wearing this on-air over the past week – I’ve had the Fitbit Alta HR for a while but our buyers kindly lent me the Fitbit Charge 3 which will be our Saturday 3rd November offer and I’m very impressed.
It’s only just been released by Fitbit this October and, unlike mine, is water resistant to 50 metres so you can swim in it and wear it in the bath and shower. If you’re familiar with the Charge 2, you’ll notice this is bigger (the screen is 40 per cent larger) but it’s also lighter. It’s touchscreen and comes with both a large and small strap so you don’t need to try to work out your wrist size before you buy. And of course as you’d expect from Fitbit it monitors your activity, exercise sessions, food, weight, calories burned, heart rate, sleep… it goes on! It will even guide you through a relaxing deep breathing session if you’re feeling stressed. The battery lasts up to a week and you can link it to your smartphone so you get notifications of texts and so on on your wrist.
Here’s a couple of pictures of the sort of stats I got over the past few days. I’m a pretty active person but if you want to move more and you’re struggling to hit your 10,000 steps a day then it’s incredibly motivational to see the numbers steadily rising on your Fitbit. (For me it was also a little depressing to see how little sleep I get most nights, but hey ho, I seem to manage on it!).
It will be at a great price on Saturday, with QVC’s interest-free instalments, and is also available early, so you don’t miss out on the day. If you fancy one or someone you love might like one for Christmas, this is a good time to get it! (By the way EVERY Today’s Special Value offer from 1st November up until 19th December, which is our last pre-Christmas shipping date, will now be on Easy Payments – good, eh?).
Also, if you’re looking for other fitness equipment or clothing, QVC has some great stuff. I love my Bodyblade (great for core strength and upper body particularly – my husband uses it too) and I also bought the Aeropilates reformer machine a few years ago when it was on special offer and that’s fantastic for strengthening and also stretching me out after long runs. I also recommend the Purelime and ModernSoul ranges for stylish, comfortable exercise gear, and of course Skechers. I don’t run in them because I do mainly off-road, cross-country trail runs and need specialist shoes for that, but if you’re a walker, road runner or gym bunny they are fabulous – I have several pairs for when I’m doing things like that.
I know most people don’t start a fitness regime at this time of year with Christmas looming but I think it’s a great time to get more active… it will keep you warm on those chilly winter days, and means you can enjoy all that festive food even more!
See you soon.
