Tick tock, tick tock! Week 28 and we have just entered the third trimester. I really do feel a difference now. The bump has not only grown in size but in weight! Oh boy, yes it has. More on this later. Coming up in my blog this week, I would like to share my continued desire to bake and nest, plus more fashion that I’ve discovered here at QVC.
They say that during pregnancy, find time to put your feet up and store up the rest and sleep… I am not sure that’s been true for me however, especially as last week we went into rehearsals for a new play! I am really excited about this and for those of you who didn’t know, I am an actor too. So why now have I decided to do this?
Well my two very good friends Kristin and Stewart and I had the idea last year and by the time we had our first production meeting I was pregnant! So we simply said “OK, let’s make your character pregnant”, which was an easy concept to work with. The play is new and never been see before. It’s called “Escapology”. We are performing for four nights only in London at The Old Red Lion Theatre. You can find all the details out on my Twitter and Insta, plus rehearsal updates.
Elliot and I also went to the theatre at the weekend to see a Noel Coward play called “Present Laughter” starring Andrew Scott. We went to see the live dress rehearsal at The Old Vic, which was absolutely brilliant. The audience gave a standing ovation and a well-deserved one too! The actors were fantastic.
It feels like summer has really happened at QVC and we are gearing up with our summer fashion. We have launched Monsoon, which is so exciting! I had a little ordering frenzy and ordered some pretty cami tops in brown and black, and a beautiful jersey scarf printed maxi dress, which is in the photo. I love the quality and fit from this brand. We are taking a little holiday to Sicily at the end of June and I’ll be wearing this, plus a stunning dress and hat from Pia Rossini – another one of my favourite brands.
In the photo I’m wearing the Gomez beach sun hat and the Clover midi dress. This has to be one of the prettiest, most romantic dresses I’ve seen in a while. I love wearing jeans, trainers and leather jackets but I also really want to feel feminine and elegant, especially as I grow bigger in size and both these dresses do exactly that.
Did you also know that for the whole of June we have been running Beauty Month where all P&P is only £1.95, and on some fashion lines too. So well worth watching out for. The next photo I’ve added has no link with anything other than it made me laugh. While getting ready for one of my fashion shows and taking a selfie, Catherine nipped up behind me and photo bombed the pic! I love Catherine and always enjoy seeing her even when I don’t know she’s there! Note her in the shadow of the first pic.
I mentioned baking at the start of the blog. I have been enjoying more baking and not just cakes. I recently made a really tasty – even if I do say so – quiche.
I made it with leeks, ham, cheese and eggs. Not rocket science but very moreish! We had it with baby spinach, sweet peppers, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, gherkins, and sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
In addition to my baking we have started to buy and acquire more things for the baby. We were given this beautiful Moses basket by a friend – it is so sweet! Until the baby arrives I put this little mouse toy from my mum in there. It looked empty without anything!
And on that note I am going to take an afternoon rest and put my feet up, make a cuppa and call my mum who lives in France. I hope you all have a lovely week. I will see you on QVC on 27th June, which will be just before we go on our baby-moon.
Links to the current Big Deal is here. It’s a nice and easy way for you to see all these at once – have fun!
