Foodies, I have a treat for you! First, details of a fabulous live food show I’m hosting soon on our QVC Extra channel – and then, a chance for you to win a scrumptious package of delights in my latest competition.
For someone who can’t cook, I’m a massive foodie (when I say I can’t cook, I think people sometimes assume that I can cook a bit, and that I’m just not very good at it. This is untrue. For example, I have never in my life cooked a roast dinner, made an apple pie, or even attempted a basic dish like lasagne. Poaching eggs, boiling pasta and making a simple stir fry is about as far as I go. I find it all very stressful and deeply unenjoyable. Fortunately, my hubby is a genius in the kitchen….need I say more?!).
But I adore eating and trying new things, and I’m quite partial to an interesting foodie fact too. For example, did you know that in 2013, Belgium issued a limited edition chocolate-flavoured postage stamp? Or that the term for an unpopped popcorn kernel is a spinster or old maid? Hence, when I was told I’d be presenting a live food show on QVC Extra on Saturday 18th March, I was rather pleased!
As the show is four weeks before Easter, chocolate features heavily. But it’s not just for chocoholics – we have a fabulous line up, including delights from Monty Bojangles, Churchill’s, Joe & Seph’s, Fudge Kitchen, Meg Rivers, Whittard of Chelsea, Cottage Delight and even some meat and wine brands.
I’ve been given a few sweet treats to test at home, as you can see in the photos (the things I do for you, honestly…) which has been rather pleasant. The show will be at 4pm on the 18th over on Extra (Sky 673, Freesat 57, or of course you can watch online at qvcuk.com) so please join us!
