Whaddya know! The Silver Fox has joined Twitter! Yes – it's true! You can now communicate with me personally via Twitter @dalefranklintv. I added the TV as another DF had already taken plain dalefranklin.
Apparently the names Dale and Franklin in the USA are not uncommon. Don't worry if you aren't on Twitter, I shall keep blogging here as well and you can still call or text during the shows.
I had a busy week last week, although I was only on-air for three hours with Pipa, presenting a really enjoyable 'Diamonique Christmas Spectacular'. I then had a full day of office meetings, photos etc on Thursday and on Friday I got the chance to meet prospective new guests with Tina, the head of our Guest Excellence program.
We managed to audition 10 prospective guests in what became a packed day. It's really useful for me to get an opportunity to work with and help guests that come from various backgrounds, although the prime reason for this initial round of auditions was to see how they reacted in a studio environment, some of them, for the first time – pretty daunting! It also gave me a heads up to some really exciting new ranges and products – to be seen soon on screen.
This Wednesday should be fun – first I've got two hours of jewellery with the lovely Claire Sutton, the first 'Diamonique Classics' at 11am, then Treasures of the Ocean at 1pm.
As soon as I come off-air it's straight into the waiting arms of none other than Mr Charlie Brook!! We have a 3-hour 'Diamond Spectacular' together on December 5th between 5pm and 8pm and we need to shoot a promo for it!
We're really hoping to repeat the success of our last show together (over 3 years ago!) and have a wonderful celebration of not only "a girl's best friend", but Christmas as well – please join us, as it should be a memorable show and it just won't be the same without you all!
I won't run through my whole week's schedule here, but it's easy to see what lies ahead on our new look website, what do you think of it? Let me know in your comments and I'll pass them onto to the web team.
On my last blog I mentioned that the lovely Elaine, who bred Toby, took a picture of him in front of the telly when Julia and I were on – I love it, particularly as he isn't the slightest bit interested in his Dad's patter! Look at the price Toby!! OK he was only 6 weeks old – I'll forgive him!
Hope you all stay safe and satiated ! That reminds me – my Cambrian Mountain Lamb sample should arrive tomorrow. Mmmmmmm!
