Lovingly handmade with the finest ingredients and fillings, these tasty pies are sure to become an instant family dinner success! We spoke to guest Jackie Allen to find out a little more about this mouth-watering brand.
What inspired you to start this brand?
We have grown from a small, family-run butchers supplying customers with our handmade meat pies and other meat products. We tried many different brands of pie and found that there wasn’t one with a good, deep chunky meat filling. So The Real Pie Company was born from this. That was over 10 years ago.
What makes the Real Pie Company different from other pie brands?
We found it extremely difficult to find a pie that has as much meat filling as ours, that’s what makes us different. We are only one of a very few pie manufacturers that actually hand make each and every pie, sausage roll, pasty and suet pudding that we sell.
This means that everything we produce has been made with dedication and appreciation for real quality produce, ensuring delicious pies every time.
Do you think it's important to use the local produce and ingredients?
All our beef is grass fed Irish beef and we only use British chicken to fill our pies. Our pies are about quality and we do our best to keep food miles to a minimum.
Which is your favourite pie from the range, and why ?
I think the family favourite is the peppered steak pie, it's so tasty with a bit of a kick!
