The QCrew complete the Pink Ribbon Walk

Dale and Toby after the Pink Ribbon WalkA huge 'thank you' to all who sponsored the QCrew on our 10-mile Pink Ribbon Walk in aid of Breast Cancer Care. We exceeded our fundraising target and couldn't have done it without your valuable support!

I’ve included some pictures for you, (including some familiar faces) of what was a wonderful event – even the weather smiled upon us and the walk itself was through the most beautiful parts of south west London, following the Thames for the most part – we certainly painted the town pink!

Toby joins the Pink Ribbon WalkToby couldn't believe his luck! First, a 10 mile walk; second, he was made a fuss of by literally hundreds of women and third, he polished off at least 4 jumbo sausages and at least 2 burgers!

He proudly wore his medal home then slept for about 4 hours in his kennel – bliss!

The QCrew and Toby complete the Pink Ribbon WalkTalking of bliss – we have a blissful day at The Q if you love shopping for bargains – you may have seen a promo featuring a Silver Fox, and another featuring Bruno Tonioli, teasing you all about 'Super Sunday', which is this coming Sunday 1st July.

Anne and I will start proceedings at midnight, and I'll be back later at 5pm with Julian, Pipa and Julia – as you may have guessed we're not giving too much away, but you can find out what all the fuss is about at midnight (Saturday night/Sunday morning). It'll be worth the wait and there's bound to be something for everyone.

Hope you can tune in at some point during the day and join in the celebration! Look after yourselves, as always.

Dale x

    Hello Daleo,
A big well done to all who walked the 10 miles for a very good cause. I’m sure you all had a great day, especially that adorable Toby. I really thought 10 miles was too far for him actually; shows I know absolutely NOTHING.
I wasn’t at all surprised though that yourself and Ma like a bit of ‘Madness’. Me, I definitely don’t need any more madness in my life.
Ma’s off to see Madness in July and I’m off to see Joe Longthorne in July. I’ve promised my mates I won’t throw my ……….. empty crisp packet on to the stage – AS IF, MOI!!!
Am I behaving Daleo; I’m trying very hard, but it doesn’t come easy.
I’ve just started a Whisky diet Dale; I’ve lost 3 days already. Well, I thought it was funny.
    Keep laughing, take care,
    Gail xx

    Morning Daleo, morning Ma,
Ma lol, hope your Ma is okay. Ma, you must let us know how you got on when you went to the GP (Garden Party Daleo, Garden Party). Was there any bread pudding; I luvvvvvvvvvvvvv bread pudding xx
Dale, did you know that my heart-throb (apart from yourself of course), Steve Irwin, is back on TV with the very early Croc Hunter series. I just love that man; the world really, really couldn’t afford to lose such a man as Steve. Did you know you both had something in common – BIG HANDS, honestly. (Told you I was behaving).

Well done Dale, and the rest of the Qcrew, and Toby Dog. Doesn’t he look fetching in pink Gail ….. and Toby too!!
Gail, you asked for more info on my royal garden party invite. Like I said, I don’t like to talk about it really!! A few years ago, my mum-in-law was the Civic Mayor here, …… that’s the one with the chains!! Speaking of which, are you reading ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’?!! It’s not about Dale, well, at least I don’t think it is!! Is it Dale??!! I thought about sending a copy to The Q’s blog police, t’would keep em busy for months and we could go back to having some proper fun on here!!
Anyhow, back to the plot. I was the Mayor’s Consort (some might say the Mayoress)!! I had my own chains and everything …… easy Daleo!!! … or should I say “Mr Grey” ……. ‘Sir”!!!!!!! And that’s how I ended up with an invitation to the Palace. It was a fabulous day, one I shall never forget.
Looking forward to Super Sunday Dale’icious.
    Until then

Hello Ma, oh dear, I hope you didn’t feel a little pressurised into disclosing your fantastic day at the Palace. It was lovely to hear about it though; how very, very exciting. I can only imagine what a wonderful day you both had, lol xx
Ma, must be honest and say I had never heard of the book, but I did look it up. Must admit it is not my cup of tea Ma. This may surprise you but I’m actually quite a prude. I thought BSM was a Driving School. Look away now Daleo as I’m going to disclose some contents of my boudoir. On my bedside table I have Olivier by Terry Coleman; East End Girl by Sally Worboyes and The Gangs of New York by Herbert Asbury. Surprised eh? The Gangs of New York is actually very heavy going, very heavy indeed but very interesting when you get into it. I don’t think I’ve ever read any fiction in my life.
Must go because the fox will be waiting for me; oh dear, I must have dozed off for a mo there!! He’ll be here about 12.30 for his mince dinner. Night, night xx
