The Puppy Diaries

Hello! Well, I'm not entirely sure where to begin. It's been such an eventful week at QVC. Dale and I managed to survive our show together… just. (I don't think we've had any complaints… yet!) And now I'm on Twitter! I'll explain more a little later.

I promised you more photos of our two adorable additions to the Brook household – Bramble and Misty. We completely adore them and they've instantly become special members of the family.

Already they sit when requested and if you look at the video above (excuse the wobbly camera work, I was filming, whistling and holding treats, all at the same time) you'll see they come when whistled to as long as there's a treat to follow!

2 puppies restingAs you'll notice with the photos, it's easier to get a snap of the two when they're resting, because when they're on the move, there's no stopping them! They play and play… then play some more and then suddenly crash out for a rest!

Looking at the pictures you may think we don't have a specific bed for them. I can assure you we do, but they love my children's bean bags! We don't ever leave them unattended on the bags just in case they start to chew through to the filling.

As you can see they love to cuddle up and occasionally one of them will slide off (Bramble is yawning and Misty is half off the bag!)

Puppy on EMU bootsAnother shot that makes us smile is Bramble on my daughters EMU boots! The puppies adore the children and clearly Bramble wanted to be close to my daughter while she was at school. What better way than taking ownership of her EMU boots!

Training on the whole is going well… House training though, well, patience is required but we're getting there. Our floors have never been cleaned so much (without going into too much detail, but I think you get the idea!)

Puppy - so chilled! So, Wednesday was not only the day when Dale and I were let loose on-air together (for the first time in years) but also the very first day the puppies were allowed out for a walk, and they loved it – discovering new smells with every puppy step! I will keep you posted with their developments but we are relishing every minute of it!

I have a few busy days ahead of me at QVC and Dad is coming up to visit. Hopefully he'll come to our swish new premises at Chiswick Park and I may even treat him to the freshly baked pizza in the canteen… although I can't promise I won't eat his as well as mine!

And as I mentioned earlier – at last I'm on Twitter, it's a lot of fun and it would be great if you'd like to follow me – @mecharliebrook.

Take care and see you soon

Charlie x

They are so gorgeous! Stanley my little westie is only eight weeks old and is a proper little handful! Not sure I could cope with two! Hope it all continues to go well. Shall follow with interest as my little bundle grows up too! X

Aaah! They are so cute! They look just like Alfie (my cairn terrier when he was a puppy). I wish I could show you a photo of him too! You seem to have so much fun with them and they look full of mischief.
You can’t beat these dogs I think they are the best breed! (but then I am biased!).

Hello Sarah, please email a picture of Stanley (great name!) he sounds fabulous. I was a little wary of having two, but they are great company for each other and they love to cuddle up for a snooze and bedtime sleep!
    Kind regards

    Hi Charlie
We saw Misty and Bramble make their appearance on QVC yesterday and we were delighted to see your two cairns on the television. We don’t see many cairns – either on television – (except Toto of course) or out and about. They looked wonderful. We have a 13 month old cairn called Rory – he is truly my third child and my daughter (who asked for a cairn) loves him like a little brother. It would be great if the clip of Misty and Bramble last night was available on the QVC website – they look like such characters!
