Beauty Insider

All the details on the new Beauty Insider series

My dedicated beauty show is back on air every Wednesday at 8pm, starting from February 8th. It’s a slightly re-vamped version, called Beauty Insider, and I’m back with my long-suffering partner in crime, Will Gowing.

This 2017 edition is a constantly evolving show to help keep you up to date with new products and trends as the year progresses, with lots of launches and exciting beauty innovations. We’re also placing a focus on getting involved with you on social media, so make sure to like my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter and Instagram, where you’ll be able to find extra content, competitions and early releases of favourite products as each week goes on. As always, leave your comments and questions below too!

Beauty Insider

We will be periodically doing Q&As through Twitter and Facebook, and as this show is the centrepiece of QVC Beauty, we will be sharing with lots of news and information or upcoming events, new brands, guests, exclusive behind the scenes footage and industry beauty news. Will and I are very much looking forward to working together to bring you this exciting show although, as Will has just returned from holiday, you may have to tune in to see if he has any sun damage again! Or whether I need to spend the whole series applying anti-wrinkle and anti-dehydration serums to his forehead, while, as all the best co-hosts should be, he is extremely amiable and doesn’t give me any jip back. Although, he has his own ways of revenge, which he may reveal.

This new show can be viewed at any time so don’t worry if you are not in at 8pm on a Wednesday, because you’ll be able to catch up online at QVC UK. I would love you to let Will and I know what sorts of things you would like us to do more of both on air and through social media, and we will try and accommodate as the series progresses.

I hope you enjoy the new series and keep tuning in!

Alison x

Hi Alison. Looking forward to your new shows on a Wednesday evening although I am not much good on social media!! Please could you advise me on the best eye product for under eye bags. Red eyes & a few wrinkles can be covered with concealer but it is much harder to mask under eye bags & I can see the start of them now. Have got Gatineau 230870 but not sure if that is correct. Would welcome your comments please. Thank you June.

Alison please help! In my early 40s, have sensitive, oily on t zone skin, dry on chin and bottom of cheeks and no matter what I try, skincare/foundations they break me out. Tried Joan collins foundation and whilst good, it makes me oily in summer. Can’t use products with alcohol. If you have any advice on products to use, that would be fab!

I would like to see some products specifically for curly hair e.g. Devacurl, Shea Moisture, BB curl range which are sulphate free. It would be great to have someone like Lorraine Massey to give great tips on caring for curly and wavy hair?

I use Laura Geller balance n brighten over my usual make-up estee lauder double wear which I have been using for a long time. I was thinking of using Tarte and want your advice on which foundation would be the best for me in this range. I have combination skin, was thinking of the Amazonian clay one??
