One thing I do know about myself is that I am very strict when it comes to a good, consistent skincare routine. It’s incredible how advanced skincare has become. To think originally all we knew was a traditional cream cleanser and toner. Oh how things have changed with many brands giving us great skincare choices.
I promised Keeley, our Elemis guest that I would experience the double cleanse challenge for six weeks – oh and to go back to toning! Did I really miss that step out?!
Double cleansing can be achieved with a few cleansing options from Elemis and I decided to use the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash morning and night as my skin is very sensitive and doesn’t love loads of water splashed over it. It really enjoyed the balm massage experience on my face and neck (avoiding my eyes). I then removed it with an Elemis warm mitt double-rinsed to achieve baby soft skin after one cleanse.
Everyone raves about the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash but with sensitive skin I was a little sceptical as it’s designed to gently exfoliate the skin and to be used with water. So after my balm I cleansed with half a pump (more than enough) and actually added water to the palm of my hand and make a slight lather before I applied it to my face. I stuck with it as I could see a change in my skin and I wasn’t sure at first which way my skin was heading, but after a few days my skin started to adapt and feel fresh, clean smooth and blemish-free from refining pores; I was amazed how much better my oils and moisturiser were working on my skin.
I am someone who loves to layer my skincare as my skin loves moisture and more moisture. After six weeks I was very impressed with the results and even had a few comments on how my skin was glowing… Not bad after just making the extra effort with a second cleanser.
Here’s to a healthy happy glowing skin with a new lease of life ready for spring.
