The curtain falls…

The cast of My Best FriendYes, it's all done and dusted! The play was a complete success! I had such a wonderful time doing it and it looks as though it won't be a one off, either!

I had so much support from my QVC buddies, colleagues and customers alike! I thought you might like to see a few piccies. I'm sure you'll recognise a few familiar faces in amongst them too.

Mikey from New CID came to see the showThe character I played was a nasty piece of work but so much fun to work on. My muses for building her persona were 'Patsy Stone' from Absolutely Fabulous and 'Janine' from Eastenders. From there I added my own touches and a small sprinkling of vulnerability, which made for a character I actually grew to like in many ways. I relished the opportunity of working with such a great team and at the magical little Barons Court Theatre.

Catherine as Chris in My Best FriendI didn't tell all my work colleagues I was in a play as I was concerned about whether I'd be up to scratch but feedback was great and I wish I had let them all know now. Next time, eh!

It's been great to return to QVC this week as I had missed everyone. It's stopped me from feeling the after-show blues too. It can be a bit like post-holiday blues but Le Q kept me happy!

Catherine Huntley and Bob MackieA highlight of my week was meeting Bob Mackie, what a dignified, knowledgeable, charming gentleman he is! My mum will be so happy I got this snap with him (left)!

I hope you've had a great week too. See you soon.

Love, Catherine x

Great pics – especially the one of you indulging in a couple of naughty vices! Do you see yourself branching out into more acting?

    Hi Catherine!
Why don’t you tour the show?! I’m sure there are loads of people who would love to see you on the stage.
You have to come up to Glasgow so I can see you too! It would be amazing to see you in person not just on TV.
    Cheers, Keith

    Dear Catherine,
This is the first time that I have left any comment for anybody. However I would like to let you know that I thought that you were fantastic doing the recent Zumba TSV! You looked so very pretty (as always) and really shined. You are my most favourite presenter. You are genuine, warm, kind, very pretty and I think QVC are very lucky to have you on board. I love watching your shows!! All the best Catherine, stay happy,
All my love, Amy x x

Hi Catherine, yours is the only presenter blog I ever look at as I think that you’re very natural and down to earth as well as a cat-lover! I just wanted to ask you to pass on my thanks to your mother, I read in one of your blogs from quite a while ago that she thoroughly recommended reading Chris Pascoe’s books about his cat Birmingham and have just read the 1st which I found absolutely hysterical. I’m about to download the second to my Kindle because I have a day free tomorrow because they’re so good that you just can’t bring yourself to put them down. So loads and loads of thanks for the recommendation. Also a very happy, healthy belated New Year to you and all your family including your lovely Mother and all the cats of course. Best wishes, Jayney Y.xXx (also my 3 cats= Minstrel-mummy,Poppet-daughter and Rolo-son)
