I've been really touched by the very kind words so many of you have left on the passing of Amica. I have read them all and have been extremely moved.
Amica was a treasured friend of mine and will be dearly missed. I have so many wonderful memories and find it hard to believe we will never present a jewellery show together again or meet up for a cup of tea and chat. All of our love and thoughts are with her family.
I've only been back at QVC a couple of days having had a few weeks off work. We had very little planned but I seized the chance to visit Mum and Dad on the Isle of Wight and I'd like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at Liz Earle.
You may be aware that Liz Earle is based on the Isle of Wight with one of their flagship stores down Union Street. Well, they invited my Mum for a facial and they treated her like a princess! On leaving, Mum called me to say it was the most wonderful, relaxing, indulging and pampering experience ever! In fact, it's the first facial Mum has ever had. She thoroughly deserved it!
While off work we've had some glorious walks with the Dogs. From Portland in Dorset to the Isle of Wight, and more sheltered areas like the woods on the warmer days. Although they're not far off from being a year old now they're still puppies at heart and love to dig. What they're searching for, we've no idea but they get very excited! Worms perhaps! This is Bramble, her head buried deep in the ground, searching for treasure as we like to put it!
On coming back to work I've some fabulous shows on the way including an hour of EMU footwear this Monday evening (9th September) at 11pm. I thought I'd show this other picture of Bramble, when she was a pup, finding another use for a pair or Emu boots! Our puppies have the most lavish beds to sleep on but the comfort of the boot was just too tempting!
Destination Gems is also back Tuesday evening (10th September) at 8pm. We'll launch a new competition, another gem reveal and a few extra delights in store for certain.
I'm on Twitter, it's lots of fun if you'd like to join me: @mecharliebrook
