More Magic March and loving Fitbit!

Hope you are well and enjoyed the first half of March? My month has been great so far with lots going on. The main thing (which is also quite magical) is just how much I have moved and exercised this month and not by going to the gym or doing ‘structured’ exercise but just by taking the train and bus to work instead of driving and being more mindful of walking more.

This really is thanks to the new Fitbit that I have been trialling and which comes to QVC on 22nd March. It’s so great being able to monitor how much I have moved and how many calories I’ve burnt. They say knowledge is power and when it comes to your own health and fitness, I reckon this is SO true! You can see me wearing my Fitbit in the pics as well as a fun video about the Fitbit with Anne, Charlie and Chloe here.

Other highlights of the last couple of weeks have been a belated birthday lunch with my friend Joy (see pic at the top). A catch up lunch with one of my best friends Armi who made the most amazing homemade shepherd’s pie and then a wonderful Mother’s Day in Bristol where I got to spend time with my wonderful niece Jasmine – we do like our selfies!

SO many magical moments… here’s three!

1)      Movie night with my niece Jasmine

2)      Finding a wonderful little Japanese cafe near work where I had sushi rolls and Manchu latte

3)      Getting an adjustment at the chiropractors where my back just seemed to sing with happiness!

What are your Magical March moments this week? I love hearing from you so do please post a comment.

With love and hugs

Hi Craig how much is the Fitbit going to cost?

    Hi Craig!!

I am so excited about the Fitbit coming to QVC! I had been using an iPhone app to monitor my steps which I don’t think was as accurate and convenient as a Fitbit. As much as I am (unfortunately) glued to my phone, it meant that I had to take it everywhere – even to the toilet! So this could be the answer to my problem! Plus with holiday season just around the corner what a great way to keep motivated and on fitness track!

My magical moments of the week (so far) are:
a – sitting on the beach in Cannes in the sun – great dose of vitamin D!
b – catching up with a friend of mine
c – getting the last sausage in the office canteen following St Patricks Day – I really needed the sausage sandwich to get me through the day – sad but true!

Hope your week continues to be magical and positive.

    Lots of love
    Amy xx

Hi Amy! Great to hear from you again! Yes the Fitbit is definitely a good investment. I also used to use my phone but it’s true that it won’t be as accurate and you’re definitely going to miss out on a few steps when you don’t have your phone on you. I keep my Fitbit on at all times and it’s so encouraging to see how well I’m doing. Let me know if you get one and how you find it! Love your 3 Magical moments! Cannes sounds great! Plus the sausage sandwich doesn’t sound too bad either!

Hope to hear from you on my next blog. Have a great week.

    Craig xx

    Hi Craig,

Loved the blog as usual! Looks like you’ve had a great couple of weeks!

I’ve got the old Fitbit at the moment which has been fab. Easy to set up and has really encouraged me to walk more. I used to drive all the way to work but now I drive halfway and walk the rest! About 30 mins walk each way.

I would really love to invest in the new edition as I really like the idea of seeing my steps at a glance on my wrist. I think it’ll encourage me even more.

    Great blog!

    Hi Craig!

How are you? Enjoyed the blog. Really thinking of getting the new Fitbit. Looks great and think it’ll really encourage me. How many steps do you do a day?

Craig – the wonderful Oprah Winfrey said many years ago that she keeps a ‘Gratitude Journal’ – a list of three or four things each day that she is grateful for – and I’m so pleased to see you following in the same vein. We all get caught up with what’s wrong in our lives that we don’t tend to realise/focus on what’s ‘right’ – good on you for focussing on your ‘best bits’ of Life.

    Hi Steve!

How are you? Thanks for your message. I would really recommend it! I’ve defo increased my exercise since getting it.

I try and aim for around 15000 to 20000 per day. So getting transport instead of hopping in the car definitely helps.

Hope to hear from you on my next blog coming on soon.

    Hi Suzanne,

Lovely to hear from you and thanks for the great message. That’s excellent idea what Oprah does. I totally agree, we sometimes get so wrapped up in our busy lives that is really easy to miss amazing moments or events in our lives.

If you get a mo let me know what has been the highlights of your March so far?

Have a lovely week and look out for my new blog coming soon.
