I hope you enjoyed our Super Sunday! There was a great buzz around the place and it was great to see so many of my colleagues and guests around at the same time. I hope you were able to join us and bag a bargain or two.
It's funny, but because of our shift patterns etc., sometimes I don't get to see some of the other presenters for months, for example I saw Anne (ooh no!) for the first time in months on Saturday night. We had so much to catch up on.
I was chatting with Anne when Ali Young came up and asked what I was doing for Super Sunday's launch. 'I've got a lovely Sony camera with Mat Trim', I replied. 'What's a Mat Trim?', she asked. 'A guest', I replied. After she had controlled her giggles she explained that she thought a 'Mat Trim' was a feature of the camera! Ali and I fell about laughing at this and also the very funny video 'Will IT' filmed at Ali's home, check out the naughty dog! I won't let Toby watch it!
I'm back on 'The Morning Show' both Wednesday and Thursday this week – on Wednesday I'll also be working with the lovely 'Loose Woman' Andrea McLean and her stylish Diamonique range. On Thursday I have an hour of Dazzling Druzy and another opportunity to talk with Maurice Ostro about his father's legacy, Ostro Blue Topaz.
Then I'll be taking a break from the pristine white halls of Chiswick Park and be back in touch later this month.
Thanks for your comments on my last blog – following on from the book reading theme – I don't read novels, during work time, as there's so much work-related research to absorb, but when I have a week or two's break I'll generally read any historical action page-turner, like a Wilbur Smith, Conn Iggulden or a Simon Scarrow. They generally contain just about everything to make a fantastic read and transport me to another place and time. So hopefully I'll be transported to various locations and centuries over the next couple of weeks.
I couldn't resist one more photo of Toby on his big BCC day!
Take care and carry on…
