We had the loveliest time last weekend when I spent the day with my niece and my lovely sister Linda. There is a café in Banstead called Fego, which does the most incredible sourdough, avocado, poached eggs and salmon, as well as a side dish of mushrooms, watercress, beans and caramelised onions. I was in heaven. It’s always lovely to spend time with family, and I will never tire of being a lady who lunches. I will also never tire of sourdough, crushed avocado and poached eggs ha ha.
We also went shopping in Croydon, and Becky decided that she would join some friends in the cuddly corner ha ha. She got in this time instead of me, as I would not have been able to get back out again ha ha. I could not believe the price of LPs when we saw them either! £25 for some of them. I remember when 45’s were 25p!
This weekend’s highlights on QVC
Today, Friday 16th, it’s Marie Francoise all the way, taking time off from being with her baby Mia as she brings us the latest cross-body bag from Kipling, go here to see and buy the Avaros premium large circle style for an unbelievable price, considering how big it is.
Saturday – Adele is back with my favourite from the SBC range, the Collagen collection. This time a four-piece skincare set, look out for auto-delivery option. There are some really great reviews on this range, and I must admit the shower cream is my must-have regular go-to bath product.
Sunday – Gill Gauntlett returns with a flame-effect three-headed solar lamp post from Luxform. Looks really impressive and not a Medusa insight!!
Lots of other fab highlights this Sunday, including the finale of the Butler & Wilson 50th anniversary event that is at 6pm this Sunday. Loved my show with Simon last week, and have ordered two of the tops, this one (see me wearing it on the video on this link!) and this one. Why? Because I’ve got a ‘bit of a do’ coming up soon, when I will be going ‘out out’… Watch this space…
Don’t forget, we have a new voucher offer! Earn a voucher of up to £25 by adding up your purchases made before the 8th of September. Info here.

Daisy does sunbathing
Bless my lovely dog, as soon as the sun comes out, she loves to lay on her back and catch some rays! She seems to be having no problem living two lives just like I do – with my pal Jenny, the yoga lady on the farm, when I am not there, and entertaining guests when I am home. The other night, one of the guests told me she was walking around the house looking for me, she even went upstairs in the bedroom! I think the reason was that I had just gone upstairs to have a shower, and she did not know where I was ha ha. Bless her heart, she does love her mummy. She also kept me company all week in the garden, even though it was pouring down with rain some days. Here is one of the vlogs I do regularly on my Facebook page, do you follow me on my social media to make sure you don’t miss any!
Old days in Battersea
Here’s a blast from the distant past, posted by Rob Locke on Facebook this week. Can you spot the presenters behind the three lovely viewers on the front row? From top to bottom, left to right, Julian, Rob, Paul, Dave, Dale, Julia, Katie, Jilly and me. It looks like it was about 1999. That’s my guess! If you can fill in all their surnames, you have been watching a long time! That building was famous for its massive staircase in reception, at the top of which Tony Blackburn and I did the infamous fifth anniversary party, where QVC presenters danced and sang the Locomotion with Mungo Jerry 🙂 I wish someone would put a link on YouTube of it! Ahhh happy days!
Thanks to Joey Johnston – her hubby and son are on the front row.
Weird ring pic
This week I was finding out what had been going on at my house, and I could not get a picture from one of my Ring video doorbells, which was supposed to be on the back door. Luckily, this shot helped me locate it. After I played detective, and realised this shot was an upside-down view from the table in the hall! I hope you are enjoying your Ring devices, if you got it as the recent Today’s Special Value. I have three now and I’m really grateful for them, as I can answer the door when I’m away – I never miss a parcel. Check out the range on our website.
Book of the Week
I could not decide between Clare Mackintosh’s fabulous 2019 book After the End, a psychological thriller, and The Teashop Girls, set in the 1940s. So I ordered both on Audible! As soon as I finish Eleanor Olliphant is Completely Fine (which is outstanding), I will get straight onto one of these two and keep you informed!
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is on at the movies and I’m determined to see it this week! Watch out for a review next time. Meanwhile, do try out the Netflix series called Timeless. I absolutely love it. I am delighted to say that it is about time-travel, and going back to some really famous moments in time and changing things ever so slightly. I have a thing about anything to do with time-travel, and getting another chance to do things all over again, etc. (Groundhog Day, Sliding Doors, Outlander and so on). So this is very interesting to me. My problem, though, is getting enough time to watch it, ha ha!
Upcoming offers – sneaky peeks from next week
Monday – Join Keeley and me for a full hour of Elemis at 4 pm, including that new product I mentioned above. Also, it is Cozee Home time with the Sophia Rose bedspread TSV in small and large. Just right, considering the awful weather we have had lately!
Tuesday – Lulu is back with her Time Bomb range of skincare, for a five-piece Glowing Complexion collection TSV. I have a full hour at 5pm and I can’t wait, Lulu is very knowledgeable, and great to be on with! Her deals like this are always amazing value, and it’s a great way to trial the range as they are such incredible offers.
Thursday – The day many people have been waiting for – Revitalash return! It is a three-piece Essentials set, with a huge Revitabrow, a standard Revitalash eyelash conditioner, plus the double-ended volumising set. Really good value, of course. My eyebrows are dark enough now, as I use this on a regular basis, without even using any brow product on days when I am away from QVC. I will never be without it, or Revitalash, if I can! This is without any mascara or eyebrow pencil!
Friday – Lulu Guinness is back with the Jude design, a large triple compartment tote bag TSV, and look out for lovely Antthony, who returns with his fun hours and lovely fashion shows at the end of the week. I’m looking forward to my show with him at 6 o’clock on Saturday. Yay! X
Next week – all about my daughter’s 30th birthday celebrations in Wales! I’m off up there this weekend, and I’m looking forward to it enormously. Now neither of my children are in their twenties, oh my goodness time is flying by 🙂 Back on QVC Monday 19th and all week – it is my London week :-).
Have a lovely weekend!
