Summer walks and glorious bulbs

I hope all’s well with all!

Just a quick blog this week as I’ve only presented one day live on-air this week – but I’ve been busy behind the scenes at Q Towers with recordings for September’s Jewellery Month along with working with new guests.

At home, I enjoyed a beautiful summer walk with my daughter Ali and our two Beardies, Toby and Ellie in Windsor Great Park. It’s one of my favourite places locally, as there is such a diverse landscape and some stunning views ranging from the stunning Virginia Water lake, through woodland, parkland, farmland, deer parks and heathland.

I took this lovely shot of the 3 of them with it’s impressive royal backdrop.

508650I was considering naming the photo “Beardies by Royal Appointment” but decided that it may might upset our George from de Jager, who actually holds a hard earned Royal Warrant and incidentally has the honour of providing August’s Gardening Pick of the Month! It’s a wonderful colourful bulb collection, featuring some award winning varieties and a wonderful display of early colour for your winter/spring garden and free P&P!

I also took this picture of a young red kite, what do you think?

I’ve also been testing out a fantastic Dyson cordless stick vacuum this week and I’m currently working on some ideas to try and show what an improvement it is on my existing machine – both in power and quietness – hopefully more on that next week.

Well as the Brazilian “Summer of Sport” continues across the Atlantic, we look forward to even more medal success from our dedicated sportsmen and sportswomen, many of whom give up so much to represent our country.

It’s not been easy for me, as a huge sports fan as I’ve been trying to watch as much as I can live from Rio and still be bright eyed and bushy tailed early the next morning!

Well done so far to Team GB!

Until next time stay awake and positive!

What a beautiful picture. The detail and colour captured is stunning. Having ms and being stuck indoor for most of the time, sharing this picture makes me happy to see nature in all her etherial beauty. Thank you for sharing. Dale your fourleggeds are just beautiful. k
