Wow! I can’t believe it’s July already, and the summer is really heating up. This always seems to be such a stupidly busy time of year, and this year seems to be busier than ever!
We have just started the rounds of university visits for my son Taylor, which is all very scary. He has just finished his first year of sixth form and although he is 6’2” and quite hairy, his face, to me, still looks about 10 years old! So all a bit exciting, but daunting at the same time. Some of you long-term viewers may remember he made his QVC debut at two weeks old in his little sailor suit! Crikey how time flies.
Taylor is currently playing his saxophone in Disneyland Paris as we speak with his school jazz band and once he is back sits his jazz performance music diploma exam, so all quite serious stuff. Unfortunately on the same day my daughter, Cassidy has her singing exam at the same music college. Luckily she is first thing in the morning and Taylor is in the afternoon, but I’ll be the frazzled taxi mum doing the round trip for each of them, and getting them back to school in between.
Once the exams are over and school ends, Cassidy has her dancing school show which is always so enjoyable. It is such a high standard and it’s the school I used to go to, so for me it brings back so many memories. Straight after the shows finish we have the All England Dance competition finals in London, which take us into August.
I’m hoping at some point after that I get a holiday! I am certainly armed and ready with my Ultrasun, which I honestly think is the best that you can buy.
You may see Ultrasun when you are out and about shopping on the high-street as the brand is getting so much press now – but make sure you check out our offers, because we get some amazing deals.
Abi Cleeve is our Ultrasun expert, and has been bringing the range to QVC for many years. The products are made in Switzerland by experts in the suncare field, and it’s important to me to have that expert protection for myself and my family especially, when you hear devastating stories of how sun damage can affect you in later life.
The great thing about Ultrasun is that it’s such a pleasure to use. A really simple once a day application, in normal situations, is all you need and even the 50+, when used on my face, leaves no chalky white residue whatsoever. It really is sophisticated suncare, giving ultimate protection. Even better, you can still get an amazing tan!
I’ve converted all my friends now too, as once tried, you would never go back to a supermarket brand. I’ve never understood why people who spend a fortune on skincare all year round, use totally inferior SPF in the sunshine when their skin is at its most vulnerable. Don’t forget, the most anti-ageing treatment for your skin is using SPF!
OK, rant over. I’m turning into Abi junior on my soap box again!
On a luxurious note, before I leave you, when you are all safely tanned and gorgeous, why not slip into some sexy underwear? A little bird tells me that Vercella Vita has a stunning Today’s Special Value offer running all day on Monday!
