I hope you’re all keeping well… unlike me and many of my fellow QVC buddies. Quite a few of us have been suffering from some pretty unpleasant lurgies. I’m just getting over the worst summer cold I’ve ever had, and I know Ali Keenan has been suffering with it, too. Whatever you do, avoid it at all costs! Ok, I realise that’s not necessarily possible. If a summer cold is going to get you then you’ve just got to ride it out with plenty of hot lemon, baths and bed rest.
Well, something you can protect yourself against is the sun. Today’s Special Value from Ultrasun is outstanding value! I always use it as it’s generally a once-a-day application. I most recently used it on holiday in Lanzarote where I celebrated my birthday. It just saves so much faffing about with having to constantly re-apply. If you click here you can go straight to our homepage to see the offer we have for you. There’s tan boosting, lip protection, top to toe sun care all at an excellent saving just until midnight so worth having a look.
Speaking of hot weather, I think this year must have been one of the hottest on record for Glastonbury Festival. Sadly, I was unable to get tickets but my daughter, Chrissie Huntley, played five different sets AND had a BBC crew following her journey and was featured on the news. If you follow me on social media you’ll have seen a clip I filmed from my bed whilst I was laid up with the previously mentioned lurgy! Our lovely Gabrielle Bradshaw, gardening guest on QVC, very kindly sent me a photo of Chrissie at her first live Glasto performance! Lots of our QVC buddies were there and went to see her various performances, too, so I did manage to live it vicariously. I must admit to having been rather emotional and massively proud.
Chrissie used to work full time at QVC as a director’s assistant or, to give the official title, Graphics Playout Operator. She still keeps her hand in doing a bit of overtime during Uni holiday time, and I will be catching up with her tonight as she’s working with us this week. It will feel so good to drive her home after work and then she, her brother Tom and I can have a really good catch-up and hear all about her magical week at Glastonbury.
Thanks again for taking an interest and reading my blog. Your comments are always very much appreciated. Please follow me over on Instagram and Twitter and feel free to give Chrissie a follow if you live original music, too!
See you back here, same time next week!
Lots of love,
