Hello! I hope you’ve all survived the ‘Beast from the East’. Some of my friends have family still snowed in, in parts of Wales. In London it wasn’t too bad, a few exciting days of snow for the kids but we came out lightly, and now it looks like spring is finally here. I’m hoping my magnolia that I planted last summer will have survived the cold… looks like minimal damage, but time will tell. Fingers crossed. I should’ve covered her but I didn’t think. *Hits forehead with palm of hand.
It was also World Book Day. I love seeing the photos of all the kids in their costumes. Some parents are so creative and come up with amazing outfits. I’m a bit rubbish so Izzy went as Rapunzel, as we have this already in the dressing up box, and Josh went as a tiger, from The Tiger That Came to Tea, as he’s going to be a tiger in a play, so we also had this in the box. Maybe I’m lazy, or maybe I’m a genius.
As the school had to cope with clearing lots of snow, in a short space of time, to make it safe for the kids, parents were asked to go and help. I sent Scott… as you can tell he was very excited about it and couldn’t wait to get stuck in!
As you can also see in that photo the hallway still hasn’t been done, we have a start date of the 21st March all being well. We had to concrete over a pipe before the tile man comes, so Scott, his dad Richard and his brother-in-law Jonathan all got busy with their tools and got the job done. Cracking job boys!
It was quite apt that Izzy went as Rapunzel to her school’s World Book Day, as her hair grows like crazy! It was all the way down to her bottom, which is too long for her as it’s a bit curly and can be knotty to brush so can hurt her. So we went to the hairdressers. She absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop grinning.
As we are now in March we have our new Beauty Product of the Month and this month we have an amazing product from Elemis, the Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm. It smells INCREDIBLE!! It’s made with 17 different rose varieties from around the world and its fragrance really is like smelling a big bunch of freshly-picked roses. You simply smooth this generously over your face and neck with dry fingers, massage to warm the skin and loosen the balm, leave for 10 minutes and then hold a very warm cleansing cloth over the skin, then gently wipe away.
In those ten minutes relax and inhale the gorgeous scent. This works to effortlessly take off make-up and lift impurities and left my skin cleansed, but not dry, and I just cannot get over the beautiful scent. Even though this is in a limited edition floral jar, it still contains the original formula we all love but is mixed with those natural rose oils and waxes, and it’s almost double the size of the standard full-size Pro-Collagen Cleaning Balm. This is only available until 31st March or until stocks last, so don’t miss out, its delicious!
Staying with the roses theme, make sure you check out this week’s Big Deals: we have this amazing rose and vase set from Peony I have put these in my bedroom, and I love the fresh pink pop of colour they bring without having to worry about dirty water and falling petals.
And if you want to add colour to your wardrobe check out this gorgeous dress from MarlaWynne. Summer will be here before we know it so it’s time to stock up on Ultrasun while it’s on offer and this week we have the three-piece Glimmer Collection. Don’t miss out! Take a look at this video for more…
