Spring Cleaning!

I think I did tempt fate in last week's blog because as I write this, it's now raining!

I couldn't resist showing this picture of Alison Young tidying her dressing room. Alison was on a mission to clear, tidy and sort through!

She shares a dressing room with Jilly and they're renowned for being less than tidy and having a tendency to hoard things…

Actually I did pretty well out of the sort through as Ali gave me a gorgeous little hair brush, she had going spare, for my daughter.

Ali's drawerThis picture (showing off Ali's newly painted toe nails) is the opening of a drawer which Ali claims hasn't been opened since we moved into Chiswick nearly a year ago!

I'm not really in a position to judge or criticise as I recently came across a few bags of crisps at home which were several years out of date!

As Ali continued to tidy I got myself ready to go on air with gardening. I was getting changed when Ali burst through the door with a little bag for my daughter… and there I was… down to my underwear! Enough said!

Debbie Greenwood was on hand to get a photo for twitter. I should add at this stage, the only photo Debbie managed to get in the end was me poking my head round the door… Relief! It wasn't quite the afternoon I planned at QVC.

The rain seems to have settled but the sky is looking very dark right now.

We have some fabulous shows on the way at QVC. My next Destination Gems show focuses on the love of Monochrome. A stunning line up for you including black and white diamond, pearl, hematite and crystal. I'm really looking forward to the gem reveal too. I hope you can tune in on Tuesday evening at 8pm.

I'm often asked after the puppies and how they're doing. Well, training is going very well (most of the time) and they're truly adorable and mischievous as ever!

Misty with a sockI thought I'd share this recent picture of Misty lazing contentedly in the garden having just found a sock! They do like their socks!

Take care and see you soon

P.S. as ever, I'm having fun on twitter @mecharliebrook

    Hi Charlie,
I think we all need to have a good sort out of our things at times, when you are always busy working it never gets put back as it should, you always say to yourself oh I will sort that later on, that later on never seems to come.
Trust Debbie to be at the ready with the camera, you were lucky there otherwise Twitter might not have been the only place your photo appeared on.
Glad your puppies are okay, yes they have a thing about socks dont they, my young Golden Retriever loves a rolled up sock, plays for hours and then starts to chew it up. Have not given our two Labrador puppies any socks, they have three different vet bed blankets used in their bed, each one now has a hole in it, and each time the hole gets bigger and bigger, little monkey’s but I love them.
You said the other day about not be able to find the hole for the washing line, we had the same problem as I mentioned to you the other week, we looked and looked and eventually found it last week. Ever since then it has rained, maybe we should have left it in the shed.
    Regards Jean.

Hello Jean, your retriever sounds fabulous… I was just trying to put on a wash load, comprising of many socks and Misty kept removing socks before I could close the door! Love those tow little Cairn Terriers!
We managed to grab some sunshine after finally finding the washing line hole….but it seems the rain has returned for now!
    Take care

    Hi Charlie.
Watched Yankee Candles last night [ with Bella] and I agree with you ” Red Velvet ” is sooo delish, one of my favs: [ along with any vanilla smells], I’m a fruit and food fragrance fan. Did you know ” Betty Crocker” [ an American cake baker] does a Red Velvet cake mix ??? saw it in Sainsburys last week-end. Brought one and will make it for my Birthday cake next month. Hope you get one back on Debbie Greenwood !!!
Will be watching Destination Gems tonight.
Take care. Debby [ Bella say’s whoof].

    Hi Charlie
I do apologise most profusely for taking a pic of you when you were…er…not exactly fully clothed, and then I really shouldn’t have tweeted it. So sorry. Very bad of me!
