Spring cleaning and two TSV teases!

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the mums out there.

I hope you had a lovely day. We seem to be rushing through the year at such a pace at the moment – or maybe it’s me and I’m just getting old.

My son has his GCSEs starting in May and there’s me, getting very stressed out, while he is thinking he has all the time in the world. I think our concept of time is very different. However I love this time of year. Even though it’s freezing at the moment I’m definitely in the mood for spring, and have even been doing a bit of spring cleaning (which many of you may know is rather unlike me! ).

I started with a bit of de-cluttering and then blitzed the kitchen cupboards. It’s amazing how much junk you accumulate in a short space of time and it actually felt very therapeutic getting rid of some old stuff. I had a huge clear out of some old pots and pans and replaced them with a brand new Cook’s Essentials set.

I went for the four-piece set that’s launching as the Today’s Special Value at midnight on Saturday night. It’s a really well thought-out combination and with the usual Cook’s Essentials Lifetime Guarantee you really can’t go wrong. I love Cook’s Essentials and it’s really a brand that has evolved over the years. I kind of see it as the people’s brand, as QVC really listen to everything our customers want in terms of kitchen equipment and come up the perfect solution every time.

Have a look at the full range online; there’s everything from bakeware to slow cookers, sandwich makers and pressure cookers, and of course a whole host of pots and pans. Plus I can personally vouch for that lifetime non-stick… if it can stand up to my 15-year-old son’s heavy-handed cooking, it can take anything!

Another TSV to look out for is the brand new H2O HD steam cleaner. It’s the launch of the latest steam technology from H2O and Phil Parker and I will be bringing it to you at midnight on the evening of Friday, 17th March. It’s been invaluable to me over the past few weeks with Bailey our puppy.

Bailey and H2O edit

She is simply delightful but we haven’t quite cracked the house training yet although it is getting better. This super new HD model is much more powerful than before, and with the larger cleaning head it’s even quicker to get the job done. I really don’t think you can beat the power of steam and the H2O is a brilliant investment in your household cleaning as it will save you so much time.

I’ve also been using the carpet glider attachment to really freshen the carpets and perk up the pile. And, of course, it converts to a handheld so you can zip all around the house, especially the toilet and bathroom.

Puppy or no puppy, I do think every home should have one – an H2O that is! Not a puppy… unless you are up for the house training challenge. Five months and counting, thank goodness for H2O!

Anyway enjoy your spring cleaning and I’ll see you on air soon – it’s the only time I’m off poop duty!

Take care,
