Well, I hope you think it is… I certainly do.
After a few weeks break, Morning Style is due to return to the 10am slot on Wednesday mornings at QVC. We’ll be starting a new series next week (19th July) which will run through until the end of September. As usual, we’ll be showcasing a mix of outfits and accessories in our efforts to inspire you to explore our diverse and growing fashion department. From high street names to high fashion designers and boutique brands only available at QVC, we’ll put together a variety of different looks and styles each week. Many of our fashion hours restrict the clothes we show you to those by just one designer. In contrast, on Morning Style our behind the scenes stylist uses the entire QVC wardrobe to mix and match, meaning there’s likely to be at least one piece that catches your eye. With an on-air fashion expert to guide us through each of the looks and dissect it to help us understand why it works and who it might suit best, there’s plenty to learn about how QVC fashion can work for you. Just one new garment to add to your current wardrobe can breathe new life into your personal style.
Two of our regular stylists joining me in the new series will be Glen Campbell and Ashling McCloy. We got together a couple of weeks ago to film a new promo and opening titles for the next series. It was fun to be out on location rather than in the studio for a day, and reminded me a little of my days filming for BBC Holiday (many years ago…!) The theme was loosely based on my journey to the studios, meeting with Glen and Ashling for a coffee before heading to QVC. The main location was a lovely coffee shop in Chiswick called Le Pain Quotidien (the Daily Bread, I think!) who treated us to healthy green juices and rather less healthy (but wickedly delicious) pastries alongside the coffee we used for the cameras. You’ll be able to see the finished promo very soon – I hope you like it! Can you spot the hidden messages our producer Clare added along the way?
To give you a small preview, here are a few photos that were taken while we were filming. Working next to Ashling who is so slim and gorgeous always makes me worry about what I should wear, but I felt very comfortable in my Susan Graver printed trousers, MarlaWynne shirt in gorgeous green, and especially the Nina Leonard duster cardigan with deep side splits so it moves beautifully as you walk. Three of my favourite accessory brands – Amanda Wakeley, Danielle Nicole and Manas completed my outfit.
Ashling looked stunning in an Onjenu dress which I don’t think would have suited me half so well, and that’s what Morning Style is all about – finding how to make QVC fashion work for you.
Hopefully we can help you do exactly that at 10am on Wednesday, but if you can’t make it, remember each week’s show will be repeated on QVC Style at 5pm later the same day.
Hope to see you there!
