Some of my favourite fragrances

Whether it’s a change of season, a new job, or even a special event, perfume is one of the most powerful ways to herald change and capture a special moment in time.

I believe that perfume can even have an ‘aromatherapeutic’ effect, helping to calm, soothe and relax, and generally boost your wellbeing.

I’m a champion of creating a wardrobe of scent you can dip in and out of depending on your mood, and QVC is the perfect place to curate your very own fragrance library.

Here are some of my favourites, currently available at QVC:

Shay & Blue Blood Orange Eau de Parfum

This gorgeous scent from Shay & Blue features notes of Napa leather, charred woods and amber, plus a stunning top note of blood orange segments and juice. A must-have for summer months or wearing to help celebrate an occasion. I also really enjoy Scarlet Lily Eau de Parfum, a lovely floral scent.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence 100

Often described as ‘a florist’s shop in a bottle’, Liz Earle‘s Botanical Essence 100 is light, uplifting and feminine, with gorgeous notes of Damask rose, orange flower and Indian jasmine, combined with cypress, sandalwood and Bourbon vanilla, and finished with mandarin and bergamot.

Philosophy Pure Grace Eau de Toilette

For a fresh, clean ‘soap and water’ scent, Pure Grace from Philosophy is simple, subtle and striking – the ultimate scent for women (and men) who don’t like heavy, cloying fragrances and prefer something light and refreshing.

Miller Harris Rose Silence Eau de Parfum

This romantic, feminine scent from Miller Harris offers a gorgeous rose fragrance, with  hint of patchouli and blackcurrant. If you love floral scents that aren’t sickly sweet, Rose Silence is perfect for you.

Lalique Les Romantiques 3 Piece Eau de Parfum Collection

When I’m going out for a special occasion, I love layering these three scents from Lalique. The set features Amethyst Eclat (top notes: raspberry, blackcurrant, nashi pear; heart: peony, magnolia, rose; base notes: blackberry, violet wood, musk), Satine (top notes: jasmine, heliotrope and gardenia; heart: tonka bean, vanila and pink pepper; base notes: sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli) and L’Amour Lalique (top notes: rose buds, bergamot, neroli; heart: gardenia, tuberose, jasmine; base notes: musks, cedar wood, sandalwood).

Each scent comes in a handy 15ml size, making this collection perfect for splitting up into gifts, or popping in your clutch on a night out.

Hi Alison I am looking your expertise. Firstly I’m just getting over the flu & my skin is dreadful. I ordered the Deciem TSV on advanced order & also ordered the Elemis Superfoods TSV – can I use these products together & if so will you explain the order in which I should use them. Would greatly appreciate your help & any advice that you can give me to help improve the look of my skin. Many thanks Jean x
