Hello. I hope you’ve all been keeping well. Things are good my end. It’s Scott’s birthday, so I treated us to a little holiday in Cyprus for five days. I’ve never been before and it was lovely. We had a great time.
I took a selection of Boho Betty bracelets with me on holiday. They’re perfect as they sparkle in the sunshine or candlelight. I took the star and crystal and the sparkle tassel set. The packaging is gorgeous and the quality is lovely. They’re a great gift. If you’re buying for someone with small wrists though I would say that the friendship stack is the best choice as they can be adjusted.
My mum had the kids as she’s about to go travelling in India and New Zealand for four months and obviously won’t see them for a long time. It’s a hard call to miss out on time with them while they’re small but it’s important she does these things while she’s fit and healthy. We arrived back late on Saturday and I was at work on Sunday, so thank goodness for the team of make-up artists that we have here to work their magic. Siena used a variety of products on me to achieve this look.
Westmore Beauty Coverage Perfector foundation in Medium (as I have a bit of colour) – this gives complete coverage and stays put. I love this for work and for nights out.
Nude by Nature Loose Powder and Brow Palette in Brown – these guys are all about 100% natural, so I find that my skin, which is usually pretty sensitive doesn’t react to any of their products, which is great when you have to wear them for so long at work.
Tarte Shape Tape in Light Medium – every presenter uses this! It covers dark circles, blemishes redness and gives a bright finish under the eye.
Tarte Toasted Eyeshadow Palette – I love the warm shade in this palette and the quality of the pigment is vibrant and strong and long wearing. Plus the packaging is very cool!
Julep is a range I’ve just discovered here at QVC and I’m in love. The quality of their range is lovely. Their highlighter and blush are soft and creamy. You only need a tiny bit so it last for ages and the packaging is so slick. Their mascara is so different and clever. It has a bamboo formulation and you are in control of the wand length! By turning the lid you can shorten or lengthen the brush according to your needs! Amazing!
And a look wouldn’t be complete without the flick of a liner and It Cosmetics eyeliner is huge and comes with a brush as well that makes application easy for even a novice! The pigment is deep black so perfect for a dramatic eye on a night out. Talking of dramatic, have you seen My Little Eye on the website? There is an amazing dress on there from Ghost, I’ve just ordered one, it’s a little bit different and the fabric is bold. I love it!
And if you’re starting to get excited about Xmas, definitely check out our website for ideas like this Alison Cork decorative branch – it’s beautiful above the fire, but be quick, things are starting to sell out!
Before I sign off, I don’t know if you saw on my social media and in the newspapers my article on my journey to have a family. It’s not something that comes easy for me so for Baby Loss Awareness Week I decided to speak out to let others know they’re not on their own. The feedback has been amazing and I’ve so touched. I wasn’t expecting it, I don’t think I’d really thought past anything other than giving the interview, and it was a very emotional couple of days as people got in touch and shared their support and stories. It makes you realise what a wonderful bunch we really are despite the sadness in the news most days.
So I just want to say thank you to all that read it and reached out, the fact that I know it helped women to know they’re not alone was amazing.
Speak soon and stay warm,
Love Alex xx
