A sneak peek at QVC Fashion Week

On the hottest day in July, QVC UK held their autumn/winter 2016 press day at a secret location in central London, to showcase all the exciting collections and new brands due to launch online and on-air throughout the season; including the fantastic new fashion and accessories collection launching in QVC Fashion Week. We were invited along to find out more and report back to QGossip readers on what to expect from the new fashion and accessories collections, and identified a few key trends for the upcoming season in fashion, footwear, bags and jewellery. It’s time to get inspired.

Cover-up style

Rino & Pelle and Centigrade fuax furs
Ensure you get one of the most important pieces of your autumn/winter 2016 wardrobe just right with a cover-up. Influenced by the heritage trend, our cover-ups, scarves and shawls come in wools, soft synthetics, and tartans with a twist. Styled with faux fur wraps, and chic leather and suede boots in rich earthy tones, it’s easy to add colour and a fresh perspective to your outerwear this season. New brand Rino & Pelle are really channelling this trend with their luxury range of faux fur wraps and coats.

One of the best things about autumn/winter dressing is choosing a new special occasion outfit. Brocade and velvet add a luxurious edge, while lace continues as a strong trend with dresses and separates taking an edgier direction than our previous collections. Think fitted dresses and sleek maxi skirts in black and darker tones, styled with heels and handbags adorned with gold and silver-tone hardware.

Fitnesswear doesn’t have to be worn in the gym! Our collection mixes casual styles with edgier elements – think sweatshirts with burnout zebra prints and mesh tops in neon shades. The athleisure trend has become a go-to for dress-down style, embrace its comfort and you do everything but workout in these chic laidback pieces.

Elegant finishing touches

Leading the way in accessories are two new-to-QVC brands we’re completely over the moon about. Have a sneak peek at British designer Amanda Wakeley’s luxurious Monogram collection of structured bags in buttery-soft leathers and touchable suedes. Meanwhille, NYC’s Danielle Nicole has introduced us to a capsule on-trend handbag collection along with some fantastic jewellery pieces.

With new designs from Lulu Guinness and Orla Kiely also arriving, it’s easy to adopt this season’s trends. Think sleek hardware and grainy leather, plus softer accents like faux fur scarves and fluffy key rings, which continue to hold favour.
