I hope all’s well with you? This weekend we’re helping you get an early start on your Christmas shopping or at least give you inspirational ideas for those seemingly impossible to buy for friends and relatives. I hope you enjoy the shows!
Andi Peters’ Food Fest continues…
Earlier this week Andi Peters and I got back together again in the kitchen and we are set to do so every Monday at 7pm for the next 7 weeks.
We couldn’t have asked for a better line up of guests for our first show of the third series. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but I like to think we assisted in making your Christmas easier, at least from a gastronomic point of view.
Watch out for another delight from H Forman & Son but wait … it’s NOT Fish? No Sir! I’ll be asking the question “is this the tastiest bread & butter pudding in the world? This delectable delight comes in a wooden baking box and is laced with Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur cream!! Un – beeelievable ! Seriously the best I’ve ever tasted … sorry Mum…
I’ve been given a sample of the new Nutri Ninja to try out and I have to say it’s impressive. We’ll be featuring it as a Today’s Special Value offer this Monday the 19th. It features their new Auti-iQ technology, which uses auto programs that literally takes care of the timing for you, when you’re making smoothies, drinks, dips, soups, mousse etc. Prepare your ingredients, veggies, fruit, throw them in and push a button! It really is that easy and the power of the machine is amazing.
Of course that impressive power combined with Ninja’s famous cutting blades isn’t the quietest on the planet but it makes fabulous smoothies, and nourishing drinks in second. It also comes with a handy instruction booklet that has 30 recipes for you to try out or simply make up your own. I decided to do the latter and made myself a ‘summer fruits of the a forest banana surprise’ – the surprise being, there was no banana!
The lovely Caroline Sandry, who I have worked with at The Q for over 17 years is our guest and she’ll be joining Andi and I at 7pm. Andi is big into his fitness, so I’m sure Caroline will be whizzing up a protein packed smoothie for him.
Hello from Ellie
As I write Ellie is at the groomers, she really doesn’t like being groomed, which for a shaggy beardie is like a fish not liking water. It’s only her second time at the groomers, as Tracey and I have decided we need a more professional touch.
She’ll no doubt be delighted to see me, when I pick her up but probably not as pleased as when she sees her Ali and Jack who are home for the weekend from their respective Uni’s. Both her and Toby seem to miss them around – of course Tracey and I don’t :). OK perhaps just a little… OK we miss them a lot but don’t tell them.
I have also been flying with Eagles! More in my next blog!
‘Till then stay well fed and groomed !
