Recently I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of viewers and discuss their skincare needs, and I would like to share with you one of the repeating areas of concern that may help you in choosing your own skincare routines at home: what is your skin priority?
What I mean is, what is the main result you would like to achieve, or the main problem you would like to solve/improve in your skin?
For example, many of the clients I spoke to had a main concern of slackening skin because of menopause, and their main concern was skin slackness, crepeyness, a softer look to the jawline – and that they wanted to have a firmer and more lifted appearance.
We discovered through chatting that, in their current regime, the products they were using were more general anti-ageing, where the priority of the formula was more to do with wrinkles, hydration and balancing – such as Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Melatogenine, Hydra Floral etc. – basically the most popular moisturisers.
But, in actual fact, these moisturisers are not suitable for this skin concern. They won’t do any harm and they are perfectly pleasant to use, but they won’t have the desired firming and lifting effect.
I appreciated the comments of my clients that they like to buy the Today’s Special Value offers or the great price promotions, and my answer would be you can still get our great-priced promotions and enjoy changing your regime every two or three months, but concentrate on buying the products that have the ingredients for firming.
An alternative, for example, would be Gatineau DefiLIFT 3D with Elemis Pro-Intense, or the StriVectin Tightening range (their four-piece Tightening Skincare Collection is pictured at the top) so that you are able to keep the skin stimulated with different families of ingredients.
You can still enjoy seeing different results, but you're also able to enjoy special offer promotions.

Hi Alison, please help – I’m having a major skin disaster. I’m in my late 30’s with combination skin and use a combination of Elemis and Decleor products. However at the moment I have a very red, angry and painful t-zone area extending onto my cheeks.
I am on various different medications but nothing new.
I’m at a loss and all confused what should I use and then can I still wear makeup, I usually wear either bare minerals or bobbi brown bb cream with a natural look
Thanks for any help you can offer
Lesley

Hi Alison, I have a big problem with my face at the moment. I have combination skin type and my T zone is really oily at the moment. I used to use Elemis pro collagen cream but I had to change that for Gatineau because it calmed down my oily skin a little bit. When I weare make up it doesn’t make any difference. My face looks oily at about 12:00 every day. I usually use that special “powder no powder” mutifying product by Mally to improve my look. I was wondering is there something I can use to calm down my skin a little bit? Maybe balance my skin? I really do not know what to do. I am desperate. Could you please help me? I will be grateful for any advice. Thanks
