Short n’ sweet!

Pyrenees holidayNot meaning me of course, (well maybe the short bit).

How are you all? Yes I know it's been a while, but anyway thought I'd say a quick hello and let you know that yes I still am in the land of the living and very much on your QVC screens on Mondays and Saturday's as per usual.

Wasn't there last weekend however, as I was away in the Pyrenees with hubby and the youngest, skiing. Well I wasn't actually doing any skiing, they were. I was enjoying the scenery, the bright but cold sunshine and of course the hot creamy chocolate with several good books.

Pyrenees townI won't go into why I don't ski as that is a whole other blog involving a crazy 20 year old Scotswoman in wrong-sized ski boots, a small child and a drag lift. Don't worry, small child never injured, but Scotswoman had left leg in a cast for several months!!!

Anyway I took a couple of snaps of the Spanish side of the Pyrenees when I was on my lonesome wanderings. It was really a lovely little town with very friendly people, although their chemists could do with a bit more training in their fact-finding mission prior to prescribing any medication.

Skiing holiday Went in for a simple painkiller, came out with mega drug that brought me out in a look not too dissimilar to 'Mr. Blobby'!!! (I'm allergic to penicillin, I didn't think, and they didn't check!). No worries though, rash calmed down after a few days and pain was gone in about 4 seconds!!

Promise to stay in touch. My new theory is, less is more, so hopefully shorter blogs but more of them.

In the meantime lots of love,

Anne xxx

Hehe Anne you do have a wonderful humourous writing style!! Small child, ski lift and 20 yr old Scotswoman…sounds like one of those jokes! No wonder you don’t ski…but you havem’t told us about your hike yet?! That’s a blog for sure!! I have the utmost admiration! Lovely to see your and Kathy’s ski blogs as I’ve never been but I’d love to go. My brother loves it! So admire people who go on cold hols as opposed to warm!! I’d love to go on a cold and a warm hol per year – let’s just work on the one hol per year though for now lol! Long term aim – two!!

    Hi Anne
I am just enjoying your blog here at home on my IPad. I am trying to look at your photos which are all the wrong way round., I’m having a right old chuckle cos every time I turn my iPad round to see them they right themselves to the wrong way and I am getting dizzy!
Lots of love you mad Scotsbird!

Hi Anne,I’m with you – hot chocolate and scenery spot on, but definitely no ski-ing! Love you on rev tv. Think your make up is looking especially lovely and wondered if you could reveal what make you were wearing on first show?

    Hi Anne
Lovely to read a new blog from you – your holiday sounds very restful – love the thought of a good book(s) and lashings of creamy hot chocolate. I hope Danny and your youngest enjoyed the skiing too.I’ve caught you a couple of times on QVC usually the weekend and usually beauty(my main buys at QVC). I’m loving the Emma Hardie range at the moment – her Moringa Balm is gorgeous to use and works for me,over the last couple of months i’ve slowly but surely bought her whole range and have kept it all – its a truly fabulous range with the best of ingredients at a reasonable price and big sizing making it even more economical. That said i’m still slotting in my “old” favourites Elemis,Decleor,Gatineau and Liz Earle and have Linda Papadopolous,Balance me and Espa on my “will try eventually” list – i love aromatherapy,i am really lucky to be able to have a full body massage with aromatherapy oils from my lovely therapist twice a month – if time is short i definitly have it at least once a month(i make time because i function better afterwards).Did you get the chance of any treatments while you were on your lonesome on holiday? I’m looking forward to this weekends Gatineau TSV and the Elemis TSV at the end of April and of course Beauty Month in June – Anne i’ll need to curb the spending as i had a spend up on the last Nails inc TSV day – i got the TSV and five other sets(it was the three pay to blame!!- i love easi-paysx),i’m loving the neon and sheers trend at the moment – neon tips with a wash of sheers over or a base of Porchester Sq with a neon tip – fabulousx The weather in Glasgow has been very sunny over the past few days(probably our summer!!)and i’ve been doing loads of dog walking( with my beautiful white west highland terriers Mac x and Mabel x)- i’ve really needed my Ultrasun and Elemis Liquid Layer – Ali Y has taught me well. Anyway Anne lovely to speak to you again – keep up the good work as your looking well on tellyxx Look after yourselfx Love Linda,Glasgowxx
