It’s been a long winter and being a summer baby I am in my element. There is a lot of choice with tanning collections these days but it’s all about trying and finding the one that works for you or even having your own tanning wardrobe of collections. I think our 30 day money-back guarantee really allows us to experiment with brands we haven’t tried before. Especially as I think tanning is so personal. I feel it’s about the colour they achieve, the texture, ingredients and most of all for me the smell they leave on our skin. I have this thing about not wanting to ‘smell of digestive biscuits!’ I love a digestive dipped in a cuppa but don’t want to smell of them…
Our Today’s Special Value offer by Utan is a three-piece Face and Body Collection which has been created by Michelle Mone, Baroness Mone OBE, who also brings us her own Diamonique range at QVC. I will be launching with her daughter Rebecca Mone on Thursday 24th May at midnight into the 25th May.
For a healthy golden glow the Coconut Mist and Gradual Glow is a new launch for us at QVC and also new within the Utan range. I love the idea of using a tan accelerator and tanning at the same time and we’ve also included a fave!I couldn’t wait to tell you about the Coconut Tanning Water as it is light, refreshing and colourless and infused with real coconut extracts. For a sunkissed glow this is a summer must-have. It’s soooo easy to use with a 360 degree spray. You name it, it can be tanned !! No pictures please!
The Gradual Tan with the accelerator and toning properties is just genius. It is again colourless with a beautiful scent. I love the fact it’s superb to top up our natural or fake tan whilst the accelerator continues to work. It has an organic tanner which is giving you the natural sunkissed glow so it can be used in place of your regular body lotion. What’ there not to love?!
QVC know you love the Nourishing Night Cream so have included one of your Utan favourites in the Today’s Special Value collection. It’s a beautiful texture that not only nourishes overnight but tans you whilst your sleeping and you wake looking sunkissed and it was created with skincare in mind so there are no horrible self tan smells or fear of looking rather orange!
Having learnt from the guest experts over the years I always use a body exfoliator prior to self tanning. Here’s a few I’ve tried over the years and really enjoyed with great results. The Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator, I love this as I have very sensitive skin so it works a treat by buffing the skin on my face very gently. Elemis also do a great Paypaya Enzyme Peel for the face if you prefer to exfoliate in this way. It literally helps to roll away the dead skin cells in preparation for the faux tan. Caudalie Divine Scrub for the body is simply divine with wonderful ingredients such as argan oil, grape seed, sesame and hibiscus.
Here’s something else I’ve discovered recently and my skin’s really loving it – Sarah Chapman’s Skin Insurance. It’s worth going on Waitlist for as it’s great value and a duo. It has an SPF 30 and I’ve been using it as my primer to go into the studios with and the make-up artists apply my make-up over the top or it works a treat as a slight tint for the day. I love this look as you know I’m a natural make-up kinda gal! It’s one colour and blends beautifully and I’m hoping more colours will become part of the Sarah Chapman skincare range.
When the face is tanned I feel a lighter make-up is also more flattering and in the summer we want our skin to look fresh, healthy and dewy. Happy tanning and here’s to looking even more tanned beautiful!
