Ruby is two, spring and more buildings!

Hi there, hope you are well and happy belated Valentine’s! I did end up getting one card which was a lovely surprise, and lots of virtual ones from QVC viewers, so thank you!

This past weekend my darling niece Ruby turned two, can you believe that? I do wonder where the time has gone! I didn’t see her on the day but my sister was sending photos and I particularly like this one of Ruby in her party dress. I am such a lucky uncle to have two gorgeous nieces!

I did a walking tour of London this last weekend. It was great fun walking round the city for two hours with an architect telling us all about the city, the layout and the buildings. I felt so blessed to be living in such an amazing city.

Is spring nearly here yet? It feels like it doesn’t it? Here in the south it’s still very cold but we have had some lovely sunny days. My flat at the moment is filled with tulips and daffodils (my two favourite flowers) and I have also been lucky enough to try out the latest Bethlehem Lights Today’s Special Value, which looks great by day and by night. I will be showing you it with Gill Gauntlet on 19th February.

The other picture you can see is of my friend and colleague at QVC, Justine Balmer. We were on a walk by the canal in East London on Sunday and it was the most perfect day for it. I think these brighter days make us all feel better don’t they?

What have you been up to this February? Did you celebrate Valentine’s? And what are your plans for the rest of the month?

Do drop me a message – I read and reply to all your comments.

Big hugs as always,
Craig xx

Hi Craig it does make you feel better when the weather starts to pick up. Not ong now before the clocks go forward then we can look forward to longer days

    Hi Craig!
Ruby looks adorable in her pretty girl party dress! I hope she had a fab day! I think the walking tours around London are wonderful, we are all so busy rushing around with everyday life we don’t get a chance to really see what is happening around us and the different architecture and why some buildings are designed the way they are, we tend to take it all for granted.

I totally agree, spring is on its way!! I am annoying all my colleagues at work by constantly commenting on how light it is in the evenings now…I sure sign that warmer weather is coming!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    Hi Amy!

Lovely to hear from you again! Thanks, Ruby looked lovely didnt she! So sad I couldnt make it to her party but heard she had a lovely time.

I totally agree, its so easy for us to lead our busy lives in this city and then we forget how amazing the city is and what beautiful architecture we have around us.

I don’t blame you! I’m the same! Seeing the evenings get lighter and lighter just reminds me that spring is coming. Its just what we need at the moment.

Stay in touch and hope you enjoy my next blog.

    Take care

Love the daffodils and tulips, I really love spring flowers but unfortunately my husband suffers from allergies at this time of year so I can’t have them in the house. I did watch the Peony shows yesterday and was so tempted but just daren’t spend too much at the moment so I had to say no – for this time at least!
