Road-testing as the weather turns

4

Ooh there’s most definitely a nip in the air at the moment isn’t there? So I thought it might be the perfect opportunity to road test some of the lovely coats we have this year…

You might remember that Brian and I went to see Seal at Birmingham Symphony hall last year. We had such a fabulous time that we booked tickets for something else this year, to see Sarah Millican. It was a welcome date night in the midst of a rather busy season and I wore my fabulous animal print Helene Berman coat  which was perfect for wandering through the city. It has such fantastic architecture and gorgeous canals going straight through the centre, I highly recommend it… and the Christmas market is wonderful when it comes!

Sitting on a railingWe weren’t sure where to eat and thanks to @Kristan75 on Instagram, had some great recommendations to check out. The Botanist was amazing although sadly had no tables available so we will most definitely head back there another time. We ended up eating Thai and then made our way to the Symphony hall where we had fabulous seats!Sarah Millican showWhilst the coat was perfect for date night, it has been dog walking and all sorts with me so I have to say it’s a winner! Buttoned up it’s nice and cosy, equally it’s not itchy around the neckline ….a sure fire deal breaker for me!!ipa walkingBut of course we woke up to rain this morning and an icy blast in the air so I turned to my new Centigrade feather and down hooded coat. We have had various versions of this coat over the years and it never fails to keep me warm and happy! You might think white is totally impractical however, it goes in the washing machine AND tumble dryer so it’s super low maintenance too!Pipa in white coatFor the not so cold days, or for going out, there’s my favourite Joe Browns Rockstar Leather Jacket which we now have a different version of, called the “Amazing Leather Jacket”, which it really is, and it’s navy! If you fancy a black leather jacket, Rino & Pelle have a faux one covered with studs that you might love too, so we have lots of options available for you!Pipa in leather jacketNot forgetting the all important trench coats for the rain when it comes and a must have from Kipling is the Poppy Collection Umbrella which not only looks fabulous, but a percentage of your payment goes to the Royal British Legion – in fact, if you have a moment, take a look at all the different products we have available this year to help raise funds for The Poppy Appeal.

That’s all for today folks, lots more of course on social media so make sure you join in on Twitter @Pipalive or Instagram @PipaGordon.

Much love as always

Pipa xx
