Tighten and tone your skin with the Rio Face Toner

Rio 60 Second Face TonerFacial toners like the Rio have been used in the professional beauty industry for many decades, as a deeper face firming technique – much more effective than a therapist's hands or skincare products.

This particular technology helps to instantly lift, tighten and tone your face, so you don't need to use this system if you already have a very firm, contoured face with no slackening whatsoever.

Look at Pipa Gordon, she wouldn't need this, she is VERY lucky and has a very tight bone structure.

But if you look in the mirror and see slackened brows, double eyelids, lines across the forehead, your cheeks have gone a bit soft, or you have a downward droop of the mouth, or a slackened jaw line, then this face toner will help give you the desired results you're after.

These various signs of ageing aren't just caused by collagen softening, which can be treated to a certain extent with skincare (it really has come such a long way!), but a muscle structure that has weakened. Muscle structure does weaken with the ageing process, so yes it will happen to us all eventually – it's a hormonal thing! Unfortunately no skincare can have an affect on slackening muscles.

The good news is that electrical treatment can! The bad news is that some people cannot use this electrical stimulation technology – if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker, heart disorder, epilepsy, MS, any bruising or open, broken skin. PLEASE check the instructions before use.

How does it work?

The face toner uses electrical impulses – don't be frightened, it'll feel like a tickle of slight tingle – to target different areas on the face and neck. It also features various settings so you can customise your treatment to suit your needs. The good thing is you're in control of this all the time.

It's very simple to use – you don't have to be able to operate anything technical like computers, iPads, iPhones etc (I'm a technophobe!) – there's a simple on/off button and strength button. But remember, you won't see results if you don't use it.

Start off using it everyday on clean dry skin, or five days a week, then reduce the amount of times you use once you start seeing results – you have to commit to using it.

My top tip!

Whatever your weakened area is, don't just work on that area work above it too as the skin droop that you see comes from the weakened muscle higher than where you think the problem actually is.

It's a fantastic gift idea for someone who is worried about slackening on the face, and can be used by men and women. The perfect accompaniment to this beauty gadget would be firming and toning skincare such as the Gatineau DefiLift range.

Give it a go, you'll love the results!

Ali is spot on again! This little gem of a product really does work miracles. I just wanted to sharpen up my jawline a bit (I’m 48) and it’s worked wonders here plus it also seems to have had a smoothing and tightening effect on my neck. I use it in conjunction with SBC collagen gel for double impact!

Just lately I have become increasingly conscious that the area of skin between my left eye brow and eye lid appears almost to be a bit hooded at times. I may have had this as a child as I can see it quite clearly on a couple of photographs that I have found, although not all the time. Now as a 42 year old, I am using products to care for my skin, however I am deeply saddened by the way that this area of my eye appears to look. Do you think that using this facial toner would assist with restoring firmness/lift to the area? My only other option would be to look at the Gatineau Defilift range, but I’m not sure of the longevity of the results.

I have bought the Rio 60 second Facelift and can’t wait to use it , but because I have a pace maker I am a bit worried in case it effects it.

Did anyone come back to you if you can use with a pacemalker as I’ve just used it and I have one?

I stopped using my Rio 60 Second toner because Ihad a pacemaker fitted last March. Am too nervous to. But as newer pacemakers are better in technology, I think most things are OK to use, but just keep a note of when you used it and then when you have your next pacemaker check up, ask if there was any weird fluctuation around that date. Good Luck
