Retro TV shows and Slankets

Am I sensing the evenings are a little lighter all of a sudden? It’s been an incredibly wet, but mild December. However, now that January has landed there’s a definite chill in the air here in London. How is it where you are? Mum and Dad are on the Isle of Wight and they’ve had some really cold weather recently.

I mentioned in a previous blog how I bought my other half a Slanket. Well she loves it…. but I do too! In fact we all love the Slanket in the Brook household, in particular my Cairn terriers.

Here I am, Sunday afternoon catching up on a spot of TV. I’m really enjoying Storage Hunters and just love an episode of Big Bang Theory at the moment, which appears to be on a great deal right now. My son was really pleased as we bought him a Sheldon-style top featuring the Rubik’s cube for Christmas!

I’ve also enjoyed the darts which has been televised and I’ve even caught a few of the old episodes of Bullseye. I really think there is mileage in bringing that quiz show back. With, perhaps a few updates here and there. I really like it when they go to the prizes – it really dates the programme! You can’t beat a bit of Bully – as they say!

There are so many TV shows which appear to have fallen by the wayside in recent years… What would you like to see back on our screens?

Well, there isn’t long to wait for some of the most popular shows on QVC.

I’ve been set loose with an hour of DIY this Sunday 17th January at 10am. DIY isn’t my natural domain although I’ll certainly give it a go! I’ll be in the safe company of some of our most trusted guests I’m pleased to say. It’s set to be a great show.

I’m also back on air this Monday 18th January at 5pm with our Diamonique Week grand opening. An area in which I’m very comfortable and I’m thrilled to see I’m presenting the show with Pipa!

Should be fun!

    Hi Charlie.
It does seem the evening’s are a tat lighter [ thankfully], although the morning’s are still really dark. I always say ” yes, the shortest day is here now it’s going to get lighter. ” Although we do have to wait to notice the difference. I want to know when’s the warmer weather coming back ?????
I brought mum a slanket for Christmas too [ same colour ] my sister brought mum a new dressing gown in the same colour. She disappears when she uses both together, quiet funny.
Looking forward to the DIY show on Sunday…” I wonder if you can give me any tips ????”.Ha Ha.
Take care. Debby , Big whoofs from Bella

    Hi Charlie
I love Big Bang Theory too, especially Sheldon. I’d love a Sheldon top. The evenings seemed to get lighter all of a sudden, I noticed. I was pleasantly surprised by it.
