Remember summer!

Hello, hope your new year has got off to a cracking start (flying by this month already isn't it!)

The weather has been so cold and dreary that I thought I'd pop up a snapshot of a summer photo I took last year, on my blog this week. Blue skies and warm sunshine with a sea breeze! Delicious!

The photo was taken in Portland in Dorset when I spent a few days there last year.

At Portland Bill, of course, is the world famous lighthouse and near by is the Lobster Pot which serves wonderful food (including their homemade, out of this world, scones!)

I seem to recall our summer not lasting too long last year, fingers crossed we'll have many days of glorious, warm sunshine in the not too distant future.

So, we're into January already. Many of us choose to get fit and healthy in the New Year. Well, I went to the gym for the first time in several weeks on Wednesday. I'll let you know if I keep up the momentum. I'm planning to go at least three times a week! I also played squash this week with my son. He received a new racket for Christmas and was itching to try it out.

Unfortunately during our game, the skies opened and torrential rain fell, and was so heavy, that water began to leak onto the squash court! Not before he thrashed me three games to two though :-(

When my children were very young I used to give them a chance and a bit of a head start when playing sport. Not anymore though, he doesn't need it! I just wish he'd give me a bit of a head start!

Better dash as I'm on air shortly and I'm feeling a little peckish! All that training at the gym has made me hungry!

Take care and see you soon

Hi Charlie, it’s lovely to see a photo of summer! Roll on spring and summer! Yes weather has been awful, strong winds and heavy rain, I hope it improves soon. Yes I too love the Two Ronnies and the four candles scene which is very funny. I have been busy with QVC, not only did I get the Northern Nights bedding I also got the TSV of the fleece set in heather! Received it today, looks and feels lovely, have you tried the fleece bedding yet? I am looking forward to midnight for the TSV of Elemis! I love Elemis products, such gorgeous smells. Well cheerio for now, Christine xx
