Isn’t it lovely to see the first flowers of Spring in our gardens? We have crocus and daffodils in bloom and also my white camellias – the pink ones are in bud so won’t be far behind. I took this picture without realising that the backdrop is the ‘fake’ foliage we sell here at QVC – so much nicer than looking at a fence in my opinion.
I really enjoyed my first gardening shows of 2019 last Sunday but there is a slight problem… I always want to buy everything. I am seriously tempted with the Garden Pick of the Month, three tree peonies at a really good price, and they are fragrant. I’ve kept my hands in my pockets so far, but not sure how much longer that will last… watch this space to see if I succumb!
I love real flowers: growing them, then cutting them to bring indoors to brighten and fragrance our home but, if you don’t have green fingers, watch out for the Peony TSV next Thursday. Even though these are not ‘Real Touch’ roses, they look very realistic arranged in amongst the foliage, which is fixed in the vase. The reason the roses are not fixed is so that they can be removed and replaced periodically with seasonal flowers. Yes, this is another Auto Delivery TSV from Peony, with different flowers every three months – peonies and wisteria in May, lilies and astrantia in August and cybidium orchids with gold fern for November. Even if you don’t set up the Auto Delivery option, it would make a lovely Mother’s Day gift coming up at the end of March.
So, QVC UK has been going for twenty-five years and, for the first time in our history, we now have six interest-free installments on certain items. We started with the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer a couple of days ago and will be keeping it to more expensive purchases like tablets, TVs, phones, beds and some high-end jewellery pieces. For example, this stunning AAAA tanzanite and diamond ring has already been reduced by over £800, but at £1699.92, it is still quite an outlay. If you love it though, you could now spread the cost, so it would be just £283.32 a month.
Six interest-free instalments will run in exactly the same way as our former maximum of four instalments, so there are still no credit checks and we only take the first instalment plus P&P when your product is sent out. It can also count towards earning a voucher to spend – remember that promotion ends on March 3rd.
Talking of jewellery, I don’t often get involved in Throwback Thursday, but I came across this picture in an old jewellery book of mine at QVC while I was leafing through doing some research. It’s from over 35 years ago when I was the lead singer in a band called Jools and the Fools… clearly I was Jools! And the Fools were ‘Him Indoors’, to my left, and our bass player friend, Paul, to my right. We were signed to a record company but I don’t think our debut single, Boys Will Be Boys, was ever released. My career went in a completely different direction after that as I became a hostess on The Price is Right!
Well, I’m sitting here with the gorgeous aroma of Philip Kingsley’s Coconut Breeze Elasticizer surrounding me as I prepare my hair for our 3pm show this afternoon – it’s almost like being back on holiday again… almost.
Enjoy the promised warm temperatures of this coming weekend,
