Radical Easter!

Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing MaskHi everyone,

I so apologise for my tardiness in blogging. As my old headmistress used to say…"must try harder!"

Anyway, hope you're all well and had a lovely Easter! I had a lovely time (exhausting as usual!) but in many ways it was quite "radical". Well maybe not so much radical as different.

You can see from the photos why I'm saying radical – Radical Skincare is a fab new range we've recently launched in our beauty department. Everyone is just raving about it and I so can't wait to do my first full show with it today. It has had major league press coverage and some of the before and after images are more than impressive.

So what's exactly radical about the other two photos, I hear you ask?

An almost perfectly set tableWell, since the dawn of time chez Dawson, this is the first instance that one of my boys has been involved in setting the table for everyone for the Easter lunch! A first class job and although much appreciated by "mama" here, just a couple of incidental things missing…like was nobody going to drink anything at all, as no glasses? And maybe 3 of the family were just going to kneel at the table as there seemed to be a few chairs missing?

"Anne Dawson! Don't be so ungrateful" I hear you cry! Listen folks, I merely jest! As most of you know, I love my family to bits and all my boys are just wonderful.

Little Sophie in her bunny ears!Matthew (the eldest) deserves a special mention as he tackled the carving. A rib-eye of beef for 16 people! He did a sterling job, as I am still somewhat out of action re my shoulder op. It was a fabulous day with everyone there and of course little Sophie sitting on her Grandad's knee sporting her bunny ears just topped it all.

Not so much "radical" as just "bloomin' gorgeous!" Am I biased? Well of course I am! It's allowed for "Great Auntie Anne"!

Anyway, lots of love and hugs to all of you and I promise I'll write sooner next time!

Take care you lovely lot!!

Anne x

    Hi Anne,
You sound full of life and happy as usual – it’s contagious!
What a good job your sons’ did in helping with the table and the carving of the meat – I hope you had a really good time and yes, wine glasses and extra chairs were found!
I am an Aunty to 5 and whenever I need to bring a smile to my face, I just have to think of one or all of them and I’m instantly giggling to myself at all their wonderful mannerisms and comments. Completely biased of course and may I say what a beautiful and bonny little girl Sophie is. No wonder you are smitten..
You take care and hope the shoulder is slowly getting better – I’m sure it’s slower than you’d hoped but glad you’re not overdoing it.
(Unfortunately I missed the Radical show yesterday but hope you had fun!)

    Hi Beth!
Lovely to hear from you again. Life is indeed wonderful! Manic at times, but wonderful! I think sometimes in the middle of “stuff”, it does us good to just pause and count our blessings.
Gosh, auntie to five! I’m only auntie to two (but one is in Australia) and great auntie to one, but it’s fab and I love it!
Just wish I could get to see little Sophie a bit more often. Nottingham from London is just a little bit too far at times. (Although obviously a lot closer than Oz!)

    Hi Mary.
Thank you for your lovely comment. My makeup is the one I was always wear…BareMinerals.
Maybe it was the clever lighting or a good camera angle, as I spent most of that hour lying in bed!!
I so need to do more shows like that!
Take care and stay in touch!

Hi Anne. Can you advise if you wear a primer under your BM make up. I find my pores still look large to my eyes especially in a magnifying mirror (necessary at this stage in life). Maybe other people dont notice it as much as I do, but would welcome any suggestions. You look fantastic, and your long hair suits you, in fact you look younger now than when you first came on QVC. Hope you dont mind me saying that. All the best from cloudy Aberdeenshire. Morag x
