Here’s what the QVC buying team took to Ibiza!

If you’ve always wondered which products QVC buyers love from the hundreds of items we stock, then you’re in for a treat!

Today, Claire, Lucy, Simran and Emma (all buyers for beauty, home and jewellery) are sharing the essentials they packed for a girly weekend on the beautiful island of Ibiza, to celebrate Emma’s upcoming wedding.

Expect LOTS of shots of beautiful blue skies and sandy beaches – we’re so envious!

Lucy – Associate Beauty Buyer:

I’m so excited that I got to be part of the #BrideSquad for my partner in crime, Emma!

With a trip to Ibiza planned for the hen do, (the perfect opportunity to refresh all our profile pics), we all became obsessed with our summer looks, and given that we knew we’d be spending the majority of our time in bikinis, the key was to accessorise, and focus on hair and make-up.

When it came to getting ready, we often finished our ‘looks’ in Emma’s room, so we could get ready together. With the ton of make-up I brought, I have to say my Lay n Go make-up bag was a lifesaver! It holds so much product, and you can lay everything out for ease, and then scoop it up with one swift tug of the drawstring – and away you go!

If you’re naturally fair like me and going away with girls who go golden just looking at the sun, my number one holiday prep tip has to be a great fake tan to get a head start!

This was the first time I’d used The Water from Tan-Luxe, after a colleague recommended it to me. I’m totally impressed, and so is my partner, because I haven’t ruined the bed-sheets as there’s no colour transfer.

Contouring, which used to be executed only by skilled make-up artists, thanks to social media and vloggers has now become a standard in make-up application, and I’m simply obsessed! I use Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation for my base, as I have oily skin which can mean my make-up slides off after a few hours. However, this is long-lasting and I find this works really well for me. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer is great for an under-eye highlight.

I love the Tarte ranges as they often come with amazing application tools. The Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation comes with a huge brush for a speedy, even coverage, and the concealer comes with a blending sponge for a flawless finish. The Twinkle Lighting Palette comes with a lovely fan brush to make highlighting a dream, with four shades to suit any occasion. I was easily able to switch up my day to night make-up depending on how dark my (fake) tan was.

Despite taking a bag full of fashion jewellery, I ended up spending the entire time in the same necklace and bracelets. I’m team gold when it comes to jewellery, however I LOVE mixing with silver. My favourite piece to wear came from Bibi Bijoux, a fun, long-length mixed metal tone necklace with coins and star charms for a festival, boho feel. I wore gold and silver Bibi Bijoux bracelets too, which also had boho feathers and coin details, which complimented the necklace and brightened up my black bikinis.

Being so fair, (okay, I faked it with the help of Tan-Luxe) I’m quite prone to burning, so the all-important summer holiday essential has to be Ultrasun Sun Protection Glimmer SPF20. I have super-sensitive skin, so I have to be careful what I apply in hot weather. This doesn’t sting my skin and applies really easily, not greasy like others or difficult to rub in. I can’t get enough of the shimmer effect, it just makes everything look smoother and leaner.

Emma – Associate Jewellery Buyer:

Going out in the sun, the Vita Liberata Body Blur is the perfect addition to hide pigmentation issues and bruises on my legs, while also adding a lovely glow. Getting your legs out for the first time in the summer is always a bit daunting, but with this I couldn’t wait to show off my legs in the sunshine.

I wanted a palette that worked for both daytime and evening looks, which is why I chose the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Vol. II. The natural-toned eyeshadows were perfect for my daytime make-up routine, and then the blue-to-black tones where great for a sophisticated smoky eye in the evenings. Since getting back home I can’t stop using this palette – it has everything you need for a multitude of looks, and I think it’s fab!

Before going to Ibiza I had seen so many of these patterned, circular towels on Instagram, and I couldn’t wait to take my Pia Rossini beach towel away with me. It has a stunning pattern while still being super soft and comfortable to lay on. I certainly got a few fab pics too, which I will be uploading to my Instagram feeling like a trendsetter!

Walking to and from the beach everyday, my feet and ankles usually become tired and sore – especially after a whole week in the sun. These Vionic Noosa flip flops however supported my feet so well, and with a fun bright patterned sole, they are a must have for any holiday.

I love my music, which is why I choose Ibiza for my hen do. Having this high-quality Bose speaker on holiday was the perfect addition to listen to our playlists in the hotel room without losing the professional sound of a home sound system.

Claire – Associate Jewellery Buyer:

I was super excited to start packing for Ibiza with my new Heys Athena suitcase in my favourite shade of blue!

I always pack way too much (even for a short four day break), but the case was very roomy and I loved the zip compartment in the lid, which was handy to keep my vast number of hair and beauty products safe. It was a dream to walk with too, with four wheels it rolled smoothly by my side and I didn’t have to drag it behind me! This was especially important as my case was really over the limit – it weighed a tonne.

Also in my favourite colour was the gorgeous Aimee Kestenberg crossbody bag, which I have fallen in love with. I’m obsessed with fringing this year, and this bag was the icing on the cake!

As maid of honour on the hen do, I wanted to make sure we captured everything for our beautiful bride to look back on, so one of the gifts we bought the bride was a photo album. Having the Polaroid Snap Touch was brilliant as it meant we could create the album as it happened. I use to have a Polaroid camera as a child and it brought back some great memories. I rarely print out photos nowadays so it was amazing to instantly have the photo!

My Ibiza wardrobe mainly consisted of denim shorts, so it was important my legs were looking their best. The This Works Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil really helped – it gave them a lovely sheen and made them feel very moisturised, but not greasy. This will definitely be one of my holiday essentials from now on!

I am quite lucky and tan easily, so I don’t like to wear a lot of make up on holiday. However, I do like a flawless look, so the It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Anti-Aging Foundation Primer really helped to smooth out the look of my skin – all I needed was a powder over the top for a more matte finish.

Like Emma, Vionic flip flops were a poolside essential, and they come in so many comfy and fun styles to match our numerous bikinis – and no Ibiza wardrobe would be complete without a pair of shades! Shades = status in Ibiza..

I chose the Storm Cerambus mirrored aviators, a classic style modernised by the mirrored lenses… and really handy for topping up your lipstick, too!

Simran – Associate Home Buyer:

When it comes to packing toiletries for holidays, I usually fill over half of my case with all my lotions and potions. Luckily with this being a getaway with the girls, I knew we’d be able to share among each other and lighten the load in my suitcase!

One desert island product I cannot be without when the sun comes out to play, is the Ultrasun Tinted Face SPF30. I always use this in the daytime when make-up is not a priority, and it’s the perfect multi-tasker. Not only does it moisturise, but it also improves my complexion with the subtle tint, and it promises to protect me from UV rays.

I ended up washing my hair everyday as I spent most of my time jumping in and out of the pool – and with the length and thickness of my locks, you can imagine the energy I have to put into styling it!

Luckily, the amazing Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer takes the arm pain out of drying my hair, with its speed and lightweight dimensions.

The Session Hold Hairspray from Percy & Reed adds not just volume, but staying power when I curl my hair. The smell is amazing, but it’s the impact the it has on holding my style that impresses me the most!

To complete our evening looks I took a shine to the Jay Manuel Beauty Skin Face Lift Finishing Powder. It glides across your cheekbones, and is ideal for your collarbone and down the front of your legs for an extra glamorous look!

My favourite obsession over the holiday has been the undoubtedly gorgeous Tartelette 2 in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette. The colours blend like a dream and don’t crease. The large mirror inside is a huge plus when sharing with four other girls!
