As the festive season looms large, many people are now getting their teeth well and truly into gift buying and we have some belters for you. Offers include the early bird order link for Molton Brown, and ‘have them handy’ fab foodie gifts from new brand Tuttobono as Ginetta (from Veronese) returns to our screens on Monday 6pm – 8pm on Andi Peter’s and Dale’s big food shows.
And my progress continues, with my poorly knee on the mend. The exercises have been helping after my little keyhole surgery on my torn meniscus membrane but I’m still limping a bit. I guess it’s only just over a week since the op, so they say to be patient! Luckily I had lots of help and visitors over the last week or so – including my lovely pal Sheena cooking me Sunday dinner and taking me to the supermarket… mind you, when I finally sat down, I didn’t want to get up again… their lounge is so cosy and comfy. Much more comfy than the massive Christmas Queen chair Sheena and I found in the local village mall!
It’s been nice having a bit of a break from being constantly on the go I must admit. Although I did manage to get quite a lot of present-sorting out finished. This weekend is the Sunday we all get together for the annual cousins bash – where my kids and their 14 cousins hire a hall. This year there will be seven great-grandchildren too! Three more babies since last time – two of which are my own kids’ kids! Lots of gift bags to take with me to distribute, for sure…
I must say there are some amazing offers below – do check them out! And I’m back this Friday – I will be on Style at 4pm then 6pm and 7pm on QVC main channel. If you see me sitting down on the job… literally… on air this weekend, now you know why!
It’s been a really busy week down in Devon with many guests, some of whom are my fave writing pals. It was a pleasure to hear such camaraderie emanating from the sitting room, post-dinner, with the fire roaring and wine flowing and everyone discussing books, their novels, and life.
I managed to get out for a little break here and there post-op – mostly people were walking the dogs for me – even though this week the weather was RUBBISH! But here’s my vlog of the week over on Facebook, click here to see it – when I went hobbling … I mean walking… up the road for a bit! Lovely mentor Julie Cohen was down doing a writing workshop and she clearly loves Daisy and Gracie – and they love her! Lots of doggy cuddles this week for my super writing tutor, who is also a brilliant author herself. Her book Together, a Richard and Judy book, has sold over 150,000 copies now – the stuff of writerly dreams! And her new one in January, Louis and Louise, looks amazing – a story told from two different angles – if the protagonist was a male, and if a female… genius!
Well, such a lot of highlights!
Go here to see Todays Special Value the Orla Kiely messenger bag and purse set and tomorrow (Saturday 1st Dec) we bring you the latest and greatest Amazon Ecbo Plus offer with Alexa – a better speaker and a fabric finish – I’m getting one for my bedside table or the kitchen in Devon – I love these and can’t do without them now! Go here to buy it just after midnight tonigh. I hope there’s some stock left for my 9pm Saturday show with my lovely telly hubby Lee Hohbein, who will be posting about it all over his own social media. As will I – do follow me, on the links below, to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the offers!
Stop press! Early bird link for Sunday’s Molton Brown Hand & Body Collection – and another ‘buy it anyway and decide what to do with it later’ gift – it is available right now, so you can get it instead of having to wait till it’s Sunday’s TSV. Go here to see what it is, and buy it!
Ending soon feature a ripple stitch top from Phase Eight, a Skinsense Hydranet three-piece Hydration Collection and a pair of Mukluks Amira cable knit slipper boots – go here to see them all, but buy before midnight Sunday.

Monday – Ginetta returns with a brilliant Italian food brand!
Look who’s back! Our former Veronese guest, Ginetta Martini, has been away working on this tasty treats brand, Tuttobono – go here to see all the offerings on our website before they launch on Andi Peters’ food show on Monday – such high quality biscotti and the lightest fluffiest pannattone – don’t miss it. She’s bringing some authentic Italian taste for the first time to QVC. I seriously recommend you go and have a little peruse of the goodies on offer otherwise they might sell out.
This was the top post on my social media this week – apart from knee updates – that moment when you take ages getting your mascara right, then finish with a final flick, accidentally poking yourself in the eye… that!
Ohhhhhh how lovely a feeling I had this week in the shopping mall where I sat on the huge Christmas tree santa/queen throne, when in the card shop, I spotted these lovely little ‘granddaughter’ Christmas cards! I was very happy picking up my first ever cards for two new little girls in my life. Last Christmas – no grandchildren, this Christmas – two! Am very, very lucky to have ten month old Blake and my daughter’s baby, two month old Phoebe. Two great names, and two little bundles to love with all my heart!
Spot the cat
Little ‘Oreo’ the mischievous kitten decided my brother Glenn’s new Christmas tree is his new plaything! Can you spot him?! I dread to think what havoc he will cause if he’s ever in there alone! Looking forward to getting back to Glenn and his wife Boki (pictured) and two girls – I’m taking nieces Lara and Izzy out just before Christmas for a lovely day shopping – hopefully to get Blake too!
The Queen of Christmas’s throne – in Bideford lol.
Well, it’s Santa’s chair, really, but I couldn’t resist, even with the funny looks – and without the crutch too, whilst the knee gets better! One day, when I’m a grown up…
Book of the week
Alison May was down at my retreat this week, amongst Julie’s gang, so do check out her novels. She’s a very talented author and very funny, witty lady – and the only one in the world I’ve met with a worse/louder laugh than me! If you check out her many titles, you’ll see that she has written many romances, but also a recent suspense – as well as featuring in the anthologies of short stories I published online too – she’s very prolific – a proper grown up author! Check out any of her books and tell me what you think!
I haven’t really been out driving, which is when I get most of my book listening done, so am looking forward to resuming next week – with a Jeffrey Archer, maybe!
Wanted to go to the cinema this week but ended up not getting very far, for obvious reasons! So guess what – Outlander is back with season 4 on Amazon Prime! Yahoooo! One of the best book series ever, involving the time travelling doctor Claire Fraser and her highlander husband Jamie, it’s so well done, and a real feast for the eyes! And that’s just Jamie! This is based on book four on Diana Gabaldon’s epic book series, (there are eight, some of which are 55 hours long in audio!) and the intrepid adventurers wind up in mid 1700s southern USA, (which wasn’t USA back then of course). Her knowledge of history helps them shape their destiny – but in this series, their daughter, born when Claire went back to the 1960s, finds herself looking for a way to follow her mother back in time to warn them of imminent danger. A fabulous binge-watch, if you’ve not yet seen seasons 1-3.
This week on QVC
Monday – the Diamonique leather strap watch and bracelet set could be an ideal gift and looks so much but costs so little!
Tuesday – the Ring Spotlight Cam is back – with solar panel to avoid worrying about charging – such a great item to have for dark areas, or alleyway entrances and the recordings get lodged in the cloud – my back yard one is superb – including for seeing what the dogs are up to! And talking to anyone there, too!
Wednesday – Doris from Doll 10 is back with another fab makeup set – the five-piece Hydrogel Collection – one of her top icons from her range – so check it out!
Thursday – L’occitane return with a four-piece Rose Fragrance Collection, aunts, nans, mums?
Friday – it’s a Lola Rose infinity scarf with a pouch offer – great value!
Next week – back at work, a party with Alison Cork (if I get there!) and our annual Christmas family bash with more people than ever attending! It’ll be a busy one! And don’t forget Ginetta on 6pm food show this Monday (3rd) with her delicious Italian fayre.
