I hope all’s well…
It’s just a very quick blog as I return from a six day break from the Q – nothing exotic to write about from home, but I did pop down to West Sussex to see Mum and fitted up some lovely blinds in her bedrooms as a Mothers’ Day surprise (don’t worry she had already chosen them before, I’m not that brave!).
When the weather allowed, Tracey and I were to be found in the garden – there’s plenty to be done, as it was somewhat neglected following the building work last year. I built some dry stone walls around some raised flower beds and we moved various shrubs around that were placed not so temporarily into various pots and tubs. Richard Jackson’s Root Booster was put to great use and we gave the grass a treat with his Lawn Magic.
I’ve been given a sample of Richard’s upcoming Today’s Special Value, which I’ll be presenting with him on Saturday the 13th, but I’ll be talking in more detail about his latest offering next week.
As you’d expect, I managed to go on some epic dog walks with Toby and Ellie and on one occasion took along my camera – I caught a lovely shot of them which I’ve shared here, together with a snap of a Dartford Warbler, once almost extinct in the UK but now doing quite well in Heathland areas!
Talking of fun…
This weekend sees the return of Andi Peters’ Food Fest – it’s on Sunday the 7th, 12 noon until 2pm.
As I write the line-up is still being finalised, but you can expect many of your favourite brands such as H Forman & Son, Churchill’s, The Real Pie Company and many more, including some new brands to QVC… ones such as well-known cupcake specialists Lola’s. However, it’s not their cupcakes that Andi and I will be sampling… but some of their chocolate brownies!
Now whilst I’ve been away, there’s been a delivery of said brownies to my dressing room at Q Towers – I know this because Presenter Manager Kealan sent me an email and worryingly signed off with the line, “remember… sharing is caring”. The email was also sent on April the 1st? Hmmm, what are the chances of me finding a full box?? – especially as I share a dressing room with Mr Brook!!
Well whatever I find, you at least can be sure to receive a full box through your letter box if you’d like to give them a try! The brownies are handcrafted, gluten-free and available in various flavours, so I hope you can join Andi and I at noon this Sunday for a fabulous two-hour Special Edition of Andi Peters’ Food Fest.
Until next week, stay green-fingered and well fed…
