It's the same every year, isn't it?
We had a lovely, relaxing break on Spain's Costa Blanca, but within a few days of returning everyone's back into the hectic swing of modern life.
But I'm not grumbling, I realise that I'm very fortunate to be able to take a summer break away.
The weather was scorching hot and we didn't really see any clouds. I spent most of the time under a sun brolly reading e-Books, after having first covered myself in Ultrasun.
We took various different sun factors with us but the Sport SPF 20 & 30 options proved to be the most popular for us all – with a bit of 30 for the face! It's the best protection we've ever used as a family. If you love Ultrasun, what option suits you?
I took my Fuji HS50 Bridge camera and got some fantastic shots, although not award-winning!
The flamingo photo was a treat to shoot, I didn't realise flamingos were even found in Spain? They were several hundred yards away and the heat haze blurred the picture, so I was chuffed to capture it.
From what I've heard it was boiling here as well. I kept running back in every ten minutes to hear the latest Ashes score. The result of the first two tests just added to my happy demeanour.
Huge thanks to my neighbour Jim, who was on watering duty for me and kept all my plants and flowers alive – including my Thompson & Morgan Lilies, part of the Great QVC Presenter Lily challenge!
Toby managed to find a cool sheltered spot in mum's garden most of the time, so he had a stress free break as well.
It really made the three hour show seem like an hour, so thank you from me-buddy and I.
I've got some great shows coming up this week as well with Ron Norsworthy, Vax and Bamix. I'm also joining Kathy for the Morning Show on Thursday! Hope you join us!
This week's "just for fun" photo might take a little more imagination… it's of Charlie and I backstage minutes before our Diamond Show. Have a go!
