Hello – I hope this week’s blog finds you well as we head into February 2018!
It’s been non-stop busy at work and home of late. We had a bit of storm damage to our roof with the really high winds we’ve been experiencing recently. The first I knew of it was the big wet patch that appeared on the wall in one of our bedrooms! All fixed now I’m pleased to say.
If you’ve caught me on Twitter @mecharliebrook you may have seen the updates I’ve been giving on Bramble my Cairn Terrier. I took her to the vet last week as we were a little concerned about a small lump, about half the size of a grain of rice, which had grown on her lower eye lid. As a precautionary measure we were advised to have it removed.
Bramble is the perfect patient and during all the examinations she barely flinched. So the day arrived for surgery and she duly went under anaesthetic to have it removed. The procedure went really well and the sample has been sent off for testing.
She was as good as gold but was really pleased to be picked up to go home. However Bramble is less than impressed with the cone she has to wear for 10 days! She’s adapted really well though and isn’t knocking into things quite as much as she was the first few days 🙂
Speaking of my dogs, they’re really good at alerting me to someone walking up the driveway and knocking on the front door. But what if I’m not in? Well… QVC and Ring has the answer!
This is brilliant – in fact so much so it’s rapidly becoming one of my all-time favourite products to arrive at QVC in all the years I’ve been here.
Coming to QVC as a Today’s Special Value it’s the Ring Video Doorbell 2 with Chime Pro Wifi Extender.
It’s fantastic! It allows you to be ‘in’ when you’re ‘out!’ Perhaps you’re round at a friend’s, at work or away for the weekend. You simply answer the door via your smartphone, tablet or PC. It is so clever. It has a built-in camera which allows you to see the visitor but also a built-in speaker and microphone so you can have a two-way conversation with them as well.
You can also receive instant alerts as the camera has built-in motion sensors to inform you of someone’s presence even if they don’t press the button.
There are so many more brilliant features which we’ll discuss in more detail during the show.
I found the installation and set up a breeze. Ring make it so easy. They even provide a tiny spirit level and drill bit. Connecting to my WiFi was so simple and the Ring app is easy to use and really intuitive.
I’m thrilled to be joined by the inventor Jamie when we launch the TSV this coming Wednesday 7th February at midnight as we head into Thursday morning.
I love it!
I do hope you can join us.
See you soon!
